AGENT X (TNT; W: William Blake Herron; D: TBA) - Mike Colter ("The Good Wife") has joined the cast of the drama pilot, about Natalie Maccabee (Sharon Stone), the newly elected Vice President of the United States who is tasked with protecting the Constitution in times of great crisis with the aid of her Chief Steward and a secret operative designated "Agent X" (Jeff Hephner). He's set as Speaker of the House Miles Lathem, "who is privy to Natalie's secret responsibilities and charged with oversight of them." (Deadline.com)
BAMBI COTTAGES (A.K.A. UNTITLED BRIAN GALLIVAN PROJECT) (ABC/Sony; W: Brian Gallivan; D: TBA) - Brian Gallivan's single-camera comedy - about "an overworked father dreaming of being 'on vacation all year' who decides to uproot his family from the city and move them to New Hampshire where they open a group of tourist cottages" - has been ordered to pilot by the network. Sony Pictures Television-based Olive Bridge Entertainment is behind the half-hour with the company's Richie Schwartz and Will Gluck also serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
EXTANT (CBS/CTS; W: Mickey Fisher; D: TBA) - Grace Gummer ("The Newsroom") is the latest to board the summer series, a mystery thriller about Molly (Halle Berry), a female astronaut trying to reconnect with her family when she returns after a year in outer space. She'll play "one of John's (Goran Visnjic) principal partners in building robot prototypes." Camryn Manheim, Hiroyuki Sanada, Michael O'Neill and Pierce Gagnon also star. (EW.com)
HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER (ABC/ABC Studios; W: Peter Nowalk; D: Michael Offer) - Matt McGorry ("Orange Is the New Black") is the first be cast while Michael Offer ("Last Resort") is set to direct the Shonda Rhimes-produced drama pilot, about a group of ambitious law students and their brilliant, mysterious criminal defense professor who become entangled in a murder plot that will rock their entire university and change the course of their lives. He'll play one of said students, Asher aka Doucheface. (Deadline.com)
IRREVERSIBLE (ABC/Sony; W: Segahl Avin; D: TBA) - David Schwimmer ("Friends") is set to topline the single-camera comedy pilot, about a somewhat eccentric, self-absorbed couple, and their trials and tribulations - most of which they bring upon themselves. He'll play Andy, one half of the aforementioned couple. In addition, Schwimmer will also receive a producing credit as well as a future pilot directing commitment from ABC. Segahl Avin is behind the project, which is based on the Israeli series "Bilti Hafich" and will film in New York. He may also direct the half-hour. (Deadline.com)
THE MASON TWINS (NBC/ABC Studios; W: Casey Wilson & June Diane Raphael; D: Robert Duncan McNeill) - Robert Duncan McNeill ("Suburgatory") has signed on to direct the single-camera comedy pilot, about fraternal twins, Pender and Lizzie Mason (both yet to be cast), who "reconnect after Lizzie's perfect city life has fallen apart and she returns to her suburban town to find that her sister hasn't matured past her teen queen days." Casey Wilson and June Diane Raphael co-wrote the half-hour for ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)
OLD SOUL (NBC/Universal; W: Amy Poehler, Jon Fener & Josh Bycel; D: David Wain) - David Wain ("Childrens Hospital") is set to direct the single-camera comedy pilot, about a young woman (Natasha Lyonne) who's trying to find herself, but in the meantime she's working as the aide to a group of elderly people. He'll work from a script by Amy Poehler, Jon Fener and Josh Bycel, who are executive producing alongside Dave Becky. (Deadline.com)
ROSEMARY'S BABY (NBC; W: James Wong & Scott Abbott; D: Agnieszka Holland) - Carole Bouquet and Christina Cole are the latest additions to the mini-series, about a young married couple (Zoe Saldana, Patrick J. Adams) who move into a Paris apartment that has a haunted past. After getting pregnant, the wife becomes increasingly suspicious that both her husband and their neighbors will have ulterior motives when her child is born. Bouquet will play Margaux Castevet, "a sophisticated and beautiful Parisian socialite who befriends young Rosemary"; with Cole as Julie, "Rosemary's spirited girlfriend." Jason Isaacs also stars. WARRIORS (ABC/ABC Studios; W: Chris Keyser; D: Martin Campbell) - Martin Campbell ("Last Resort") has been tapped to helm the drama pilot, which "follows the best and brightest of active duty military doctors and nurses as they practice trailblazing medicine on critically wounded warriors returning home from Afghanistan, on military families and veterans, as well as administering to Washington's government elite." Mandeville Films and Television is co-producing. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Larry Wilmore has been tapped as showrunner of the Anthony Anderson-led comedy pilot "Black-ish" at ABC (Deadline.com); Universal Cable Productions executive Tom Lieber is departing the company to join Syfy's upcoming drama "Dominion" as an executive producer (Deadline.com); Michael Pitt has been cast as Mason Verger, "an unstable wealthy patient of Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) who begins a dangerous cat-and-mouse game with the deadly serial killer," on "Hannibal" (EW.com); and Penny Marshall and Lorraine Bracco will guest on FOX's "Mulaney" as "a lesbian couple who are close friends of Mulaney's neighbor Oscar (Elliott Gould)" (TVLine.com).
