CABOT COLLEGE (FOX/Universal; W: Matt Hubbard; D: Pamela Fryman) - Ely Henry and Asif Ali have both scored roles on the multi-camera comedy pilot, about a women's college that, for the first time in its history, begins accepting men. They'll play two of the four recently admitted male freshmen: Max Lewis and Arjan Sejko, respectively, alongside the previously cast Jack Cutmore-Scott as Charlie Deckard and Brandon Jones as Gerald Holzhauser. Also starring are Bonnie Dennison, Fortune Feimster and Margaret Cho. (Deadline.com)
IDENTITY (The CW/CBS; W: Corinne Brinkerhoff; D: Gary Fleder) - Matt Barr ("Hellcats") is set to star opposite Ahna O'Reilly in the drama pilot, about Mia Lawrence (O'Reilly), a young New Yorker who is recruited by the CIA to infiltrate her recently discovered biological family, a wealthy and powerful dynasty in Texas suspected of having criminal alliances across the globe. He's on board as Davis Grant, her newfound half-brother, who runs the clothing arm of Grant Industries empire. (Deadline.com)
KEEP IT TOGETHER (ABC/20th; W: Kevin Hart, Garrett Donovan & Neil Goldman; D: TBA) - Romany Malco ("Weeds") has booked the lead role on the multi-camera comedy pilot, a candid look at the post-divorce life of a couple, Derek and Lorraine, trying to forge a friendship for the sake of their kids, despite differences. He'll play the aforementioned Derek in the project, the casting of which lifts said contingency off its production. (Deadline.com)
MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY (ABC/ABC Studios; W: Jeff Lowell; D: TBA) - Nicolas Wright ("Accidentally on Purpose") have been cast in the pilot, a romantic comedy which exposes the unfiltered internal monologues of a young couple, Peter (Jake McDorman) and Dana (Analeigh Tipton), embarking on a new relationship. He'll play David, Peter's handsome, slick brother who is "way too worried about what people think of him." Jade Catta-Preta also stars. (Deadline.com)
NAVY ST. (DirecTV/Endemol; W: Byron Balasco; D: TBA) - Nick Jonas and Kiele Sanchez are the latest additions to the upcoming series, "a dark family drama is set against the backdrop of Navy Street, a Venice, CA-based mixed martial arts (MMA) gym owned by Alvey Henderson (Frank Grillo), a former fighter who never made it big due to a drug addiction but is now sober." She'll play Lisa Prince, "his long-time girlfriend"; with Jonas as Nate Henderson, "Alvey's youngest son and the prized fighter at the gym." Jonathan Tucker also stars in the project, production of which begins in May for a fall premiere. (Deadline.com)
PRO, THE (NBC/ABC Studios/Universal; W: Alex Gregory & Pete Huyck; D: Todd Holland) - Rosa Salazar ("Parenthood") has landed a role on the comedy pilot, about Ben Bertrahm (Rob Lowe), "a former doubles champion who is reunited with his ex-partner Bobby Welch (Riggle) after a public feud that left them both floundering in life." She'll play Jamie Schoonmaker, a naive stoner girl who works a receptionist at the pro shop. Colton Dunn also stars. (THR.com)
TIN MAN (NBC/Universal; W: Ehren Kruger; D: D.J. Caruso) - Actor/director Vondie Curtis-Hall has been cast in the drama pilot, a futuristic thriller centering on robot Adam Sentry (Patrick Heusinger), who is accused of the first-degree murder of his creator, Charles Vale. He'll play Jack Garrison, "a veteran homicide investigator called in to investigate the murder, who places Adam under arrest." Kara Killmer, Kathleen York, Kristen Connolly and Shaun Toub also star. AND IN OTHER NEWS... - HBO has reportedly given a series order to its Dwayne Johnson-led comedy pilot "Ballers" (Deadline.com); Pamela Fryman has been tapped to direct the CBS comedy pilots "Save the Date" and "Cuz-Bros," in addition to the aforementioned "Cabot College" and "How I Met Your Dad" (Deadline.com); Alec Baldwin will guest star on Mariska Hargitay's directorial debut episode on "Law & Order: SVU" (EW.com); Adam Devine will lend his voice to "American Dad" as "an announcer at a Langley Falls Karate Tournament" (EW.com); Sunny Mabrey has been cast as Glinda the Good Witch of the South on "Once Upon a Time" (TVLine.com); John Leguizamo is bound for "The Good Wife" as "the Cook County State's Attorney who took over the role from Peter Florrick (Chris Noth) when he became governor" (EOnline.com); and Peter Coyote will guest on "Perception" as the father of Eric McCormack's Daniel Pierce (TVGuide.com).
