Said effort, which is awaiting a formal pilot order, has been in the works since July of 2010. (Deadline.com)

IZOMBIE (The CW/Warner Bros.; W: Diane Ruggiero & Rob Thomas; D: TBA) - Nora Dunn ("Entourage") is the latest to score a role on the drama pilot, about Olivia "Liv" Moore, a med student-turned-zombie who takes a job in the coroner's office to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity, but with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse's memories. She's on board as her Eva Moore, her hospital administrator mom who was a Tiger Mom long before anyone had heard of the term. SEX BOX (WE tv, New!) - The cable channel is looking to import the British reality format, in which "real couples whose relationships are on the rocks enter a soundproof box to have sex and, upon exit, immediately address their issues with a panel of experts." Relativity TV is behind the hour-long project, the auspices of which weren't given. (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - NBC has shelved its multi-camera comedy pilot "The Money Pit," based on the 1986 feature of the same name, over difficulties casting the leads (Deadline.com); Oliver Hudson and Will Chase will be upped to series regulars on "Nashville" should it return for season three (Deadline.com); Regina Hall will recur on FX's "Married" as "the ex-wife of very needy dude AJ (Brett Gelman), who is taking the divorce very hard" (Deadline.com); "Red Zone" creator Nikki Toscano has inked a two-year overall pact with co-producer Universal Television (Deadline.com); and Claire Holt is departing "The Originals" as a series regular following tonight's episode (TheWrap.com).
