"Untold With Maria Menounos" is an inventive news magazine series that goes behind the headlines of entertainment, celebrity and pop culture for a fresh and fascinating look at the news dominating water-cooler talk. Each one-hour episode, hosted by Maria Menounos, delves into three different stories to get the inside scoop on the biggest news of the moment. Featuring interviews with celebrities, Hollywood insiders, topic-specific experts and more, the show will cover subjects ranging from the rise of heroin in Hollywood to the Electronic Dance Music scene, to transgender civil rights issues and the highs and lows of reality star fame. Plus "Untold" connects viewers to people who are big in the social media universe with segments including "The Pop Culture Minute" featuring YouTube and Vine stars, and "The Untold Moment," offering exclusive interviews with Hollywood's most fascinating personalities. The series breaks new ground visually - combining iPhone video, GoPro, FlipCam, and XD-Cam footage - to bring viewers behind-the-scenes and into the stories. Don't miss "Untold With Maria Menounos" premiering Thursday, July 17th at 8:00pm ET/PT only on E!

In the premiere episode of "Untold," Menounos tackles three diverse stories:

THE RELENTLESS PURSUIT OF PERFECTION:

The first looks at the Selfie epidemic and how it's fueling an increasing number of adults and teens to seek plastic surgery. We'll hear from experts like Doctors Paul Nassif and Terry Dubrow of "Botched," and meet plastic surgery aficionados Justin Jedlica - known as the "Living Doll" - and Justin Bieber look-alike Toby Sheldon, to find out why they've spent more than six figures in their bid for physical perfection. And we'll hear from UK teen Danny Bowman - the first officially diagnosed case of "Selfie Addiction" - about why he spent hours each day taking hundreds of selfies in pursuit of the elusive "perfect" shot.

THE ROYAL FISH BOWL:

17 years after Princess Diana's death her son, William, is turning the tables on the paparazzi. The palace is already embracing social media with Twitter accounts and posts, and Prince George's arrival was the first royal birth to be announced via social media. But the royals are quickly learning that this new information age can be a double-edged sword. We'll look at how William and Kate are taking control of the media and preparing their son - the future king of England - for life in the social media spotlight.

SHARK HAPPENS!:

It all started when "Jaws" became the first summer blockbuster in history and challenged generations of movie-goers to think twice about a midnight swim. 39 years later, Syfy is reinventing the creature feature with their monster hits "Sharknado" and "Sharktopus." Prior to the July 30thpremiere on Syfy, we'll hear from "Sharknado 2" stars Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, and Kari Wuhrer about how "Sharknado" became a Twitter phenom, and meet B-movie legend Roger Corman to find out why creatures from the deep continue to thrill.
