AND IN OTHER NEWS... - FOX has rescinded its commitment to new drama "Hieroglyph," despite issuing a series order back in October (EW.com); Laurie Holden will guest on the backdoor pilot episode of "Major Crimes" as Ann McGinnis, the second in command of the LAPD's Special Operations Bureau unit (TVLine.com); Zendaya has bowed out of Lifetime's biopic "Aaliyah: Princess of R&B," putting production on hold (@LifetimeTV_PR); Universal Television has optioned the rights to Christopher Golden's horror novel "Snowblind" with David S. Goyer spearheading its potential small screen take (Deadline.com); Chris D'Elia will guest on TV Land's "Jennifer Falls" as "the impulsive musician who disappeared from Jennifer's life shortly after getting her pregnant (TVLine.com); and Ian Anthony Dale will recur on "Hart of Dixie" as "an incredibly charming doctor who is being dubbed - at least by the show's writers - a walking Superman" (TVLine.com).
