AND IN OTHER NEWS... - FOX has rescinded its commitment to new drama "Hieroglyph," despite issuing a series order back in October (EW.com); Laurie Holden will guest on the backdoor pilot episode of "Major Crimes" as Ann McGinnis, the second in command of the LAPD's Special Operations Bureau unit (TVLine.com); Zendaya has bowed out of Lifetime's biopic "Aaliyah: Princess of R&B," putting production on hold (@LifetimeTV_PR); Universal Television has optioned the rights to Christopher Golden's horror novel "Snowblind" with David S.
