NEW YORK, July 25, 2014 - History aficionados and business experts...we give you reason to cheer. Comedy Central's acclaimed series "Drunk History" and "Nathan For You" have each been renewed for a third season, it was announced today by Kent Alterman, President, Content Development and Original Programming, Comedy Central. These two renewals continue the #1 brand in comedy's 2014 momentum as they join the previously announced renewals of "Broad City" (more), "Kroll Show" (more), "Inside Amy Schumer," "Review" and "TripTank" (more) and an extended fourth season of "Key & Peele" (more).

"Drunk History" is executive produced by Derek Waters, Jeremy Konner, along with Gary Sanchez Productions' Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Chris Henchy and Owen Burke. "Nathan For You," produced by Abso Lutely Productions, is executive produced by Nathan Fielder (recipient of the Just For Laugh's Breakout Comedy Star of the Year Award today in Montreal), Michael Koman and Dave Kneebone. The third seasons for each series will premiere in 2015.

"Is there any comedy well deeper to draw from than history and business marketing?" asked Alterman.

Created for television by series host Derek Waters (@derekwaterss) and director Jeremy Konner, "Drunk History" pairs inebriated storytellers up with A-list talent on a tour of cities across America, providing a unique take on the familiar and less familiar people and events from our country's great past as they reenact great moments in history with unforgettable results. Through the first four episodes of its second season (Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m.), ratings for "Drunk History" are up +26% among Adults 18-49 vs. season one and +17% among total viewers (P2+). In its timeslot, it is the #1 original series in all of television with Men 18-34 and #1 in cable with Men 18-49.

As told by narrators who stumble and slur their way through the re-telling, season two segments have featured profiles of investigative journalist Nellie Bly and Claudette Colvin, who inspired Rosa Parks' historic stance, along with stories about the Baltimore plot to assassinate Lincoln and the midnight ride of Sybil Ludington. Guest stars for second season reenactments include Jack Black, Courteney Cox, David Cross, Charlie Day, Laura Dern, Emily Deschanel, Nathan Fielder, Johnny Knoxville, Nick Kroll, John Lithgow, Jordan Peele, Joe Lo Truglio, Jack McBrayer, Stephen Merchant, Patton Oswalt, Busy Philips, Jason Ritter, Winona Ryder, among many others. Ian Friedman is the Executive in Charge of Production for Comedy Central.

"Nathan For You" returned on July 1 upping the ante with some of its most ambitious ideas to date as Nathan Fielder (@nathanfielder) attempts to help real small businesses turn a profit with marketing tactics that no ordinary consultant would dare to attempt. Ratings for "Nathan For You," also four episodes into second two (Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m.), have increased by nearly 50% among Adults 18-49 vs. season one and +34% among total viewers (P2+). In its timeslot, "Nathan For You" ranks as the #1 original series in cable among Men 18-34 and Men 18-24 across its second season.

From driving foot traffic to an off-the-strip souvenir shop by using Hollywood flair and a Johnny Depp impersonator, to convincing a pet store to market at a pet cemetery by advertising on a gravestone, to finding a legal way to appropriate the trademark of one of the world's biggest brands by opening a coffee shop called Dumb Starbucks, Nathan Fielder goes as far as it takes to make his ideas come to life. But with his unorthodox approach to problem solving, Nathan's genuine efforts to do good often draw real people into an experience far beyond what they signed up for. Jim Sharp and Rachel Olson are the Executives in Charge of Production for Comedy Central.

Previously-aired episodes from the second seasons of "Drunk History" and "Nathan For You," along with the entire first seasons, are currently available via cc.com and the Comedy Central App.

Available on-air, online and on-the-go, Comedy Central (www.cc.com) is the #1 brand in comedy and is owned by, and is a registered trademark of, Comedy Partners, a wholly-owned unit of Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIA and VIAB).
