INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY'S GOT TALENT! AUGUST SLATE SIZZLES WITH THE RETURN OF ID'S MOST BELOVED STARS: PAULA ZAHN, SUSAN LUCCI, JOE KENDA, AND CANDICE DELONG

(Silver Spring, Md.) - Investigation Discovery rolls out the red carpet this August with the return of star-studded hit series hosted by some of ID's most beloved personalities, from Emmy Award-winning journalist Paula Zahn and queen of daytime soap Susan Lucci to former F.B.I. criminal profiler Candice DeLong and homicide hunter Lt. Joe Kenda.

The month kicks off with new seasons of ID's longest running original series. First, tour the mind of infamous accused-ax-murderer Lizzie Borden in the season premiere of DEADLY WOMEN with Candice DeLong on Friday, August 1 at 9/8c, followed by the landmark 100th episode at 10/9c. In her signature spitfire style, DeLong offers candid and unparalleled expert insight into the psychology behind women who kill. Then, ID's original long-form journalism franchise ON THE CASE WITH PAULA ZAHN is back Sunday, August 3 at 10/9c. Follow Zahn as she personally interviews people directly touched by fascinating crime investigations, resulting in riveting interviews that reveal the raw emotion each tragedy has left behind.

Rounding out August is the season premiere of DEADLY AFFAIRS with Susan Lucci on Saturday, August 16 at 9/8c. No stranger to steamy scandals and deadly dalliances, daytime darling Lucci exposes passionate love affairs turned crimes of passion that demonstrate just how fatal some ill-fated attractions can be. Last but certainly not least, go back on the hunt with HOMICIDE HUNTER: LT. JOE KENDA beginning Tuesday, August 19 at 10/9c. Kenda, a 25-year veteran of Colorado's homicide investigation unit with one of the highest case-closure rates in the country, unseals case files of the most disturbing cases still haunting him, today, and revisits his first case ever this season.

"Paula, Susan, Joe, and Candice and all the Faces of ID are not just charismatic hosts, preeminent experts, and pioneers in their fields, but truly the hardest working and most loyal talent in television," said Henry Schleiff, Group President of Investigation Discovery, Destination America, American Heroes Channel, and Discovery Fit & Health. "This month, we are particularly proud to join Candice, our killer queen expert and, indeed, partner in crime, in celebrating 100 episodes of DEADLY WOMEN."

ID's full August programming lineup includes:

DEADLY WOMEN WITH CANDICE DELONG
Premieres Friday, August 1 at 9/8c
100th Episode Immediately After at 10/9c
Beloved former F.B.I. criminal profiler Candice DeLong explores some of history's most fascinating female killers in DEADLY WOMEN, touring the twisted minds of women who kill. In the season premiere at 9/8c, after generations and generations of curiosity surrounding Lizzie Borden, DeLong delves into the psyche of infamous ax-wielding killer - or is she? "A killer needs three things to commit a homicide: motive, opportunity, and means. Lizzie Borden has all of those," DeLong says. Then, the 100th episode at 10/9c strikes the mother lode as DEADLY WOMEN revisits three homicides brought on by daughters seeking a different kind of maternal support: money.

ON THE CASE WITH PAULA ZAHN
Premieres Sunday, August 3 at 10/9c
Investigation Discovery's signature newsmagazine, ON THE CASE, hosted by Emmy Award-winning journalist Paula Zahn, profiles fascinating and true investigations that weave together the emotional twists and turns of stories of perseverance, courage and justice. Zahn's journalistic expertise and articulate passion for the truth resonate in each episode, with in-depth interviews and reporting that go beyond the headlines in her resolute search to resolve mysteries from within our nation's justice system.

DEADLY AFFAIRS WITH SUSAN LUCCI
Premieres Saturday, August 16 at 9/8c
From love triangles that implode to office romances exposed, stories of passionate love affairs turned crimes of passion aren't just happening on daytime television. They happen in real life and, sometimes, are even stranger than fiction. No stranger to steamy scandals and deadly dalliances, Emmy Award-winning actress and queen of daytime soap Susan Lucci hosts the new season of DEADLY AFFAIRS, featuring new tales of greed, temptation, and revenge that demonstrate just how fatal some ill-fated attractions can be.

HOMICIDE HUNTER: LT. JOE KENDA
Premieres Tuesday, August 19 at 10/9c
Holster your prop weapons and "stand down" David Caruso and Mark Harmon, because the real-life Homicide Hunter is back on patrol. Investigation Discovery is on the hunt once again with Lieutenant Joe Kenda, a 25-year veteran of Colorado's homicide investigation unit with one of the highest case-closure rates in the country, in HOMICIDE HUNTER: LT. JOE KENDA. Each week, with his slow, intense, deliberate drawl and cool, no-nonsense demeanor, Lt. Kenda re-opens his "murder books," case files of the most disturbing cases still haunting him today.
