Los Angeles, CA - September 17, 2014 - Want to know more about the stories that are trending right now? Then don't miss the third installment of "Untold With Maria Menounos." This time Menounos goes behind the shocking headlines of celebrity deaths like Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Cory Monteith to reveal what is becoming a much-publicized epidemic: "Hollywood & Heroin." Then the series shifts gears to look at the world of "Insta-fame," sitting down with YouTube stars Tyler Oakley, Hannah Hart and Lilly Singh, Vine sensations Brittany Furlan and Simone Shepherd as well as internet band sensation Boyce Avenue to see where they started from, how they made it big and what's next in the world of celebrity social media. Don't miss this in-depth look at these trending topics when "Untold With Maria Menounos" airs Thursday, September 18that 8:00pm ET/PT.

First Menounos examines how the deaths of Cory Monteith, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Peaches Geldof, have brought to the forefront a scary new trend - "Hollywood & Heroin." Dr. Drew explains why stars in particular struggle with addiction and how hard it is to stay away from the drug even when they've been sober for long periods of time. In addition, Mackenzie Phillips opens up to Menounos about her own personal struggle in an incredibly revealing interview talking about everything from her first experiences with drugs with her father at age 11 to her fear of dying every time she shot up to her life's work now that she's in recovery. Plus "Untold" goes one step further to look at how heroin and opiate overdoses have become the leading cause of accidental death in America, showing how the face of heroin addiction is changing now to include everyday teens and moms. Menounos sits down with Jessica, a mom/nurse turned drug addict, to see how an emergency appendectomy sent her down a spiraling path of heroin addiction, and what was able to pull her out of it.

In "Insta-fame," "Untold" looks at a new breed of celebrity that is taking over the social space. Talking to the biggest names in social media, Menounos finds out how they started, analyzes the massive reach these once "everyday" people now have and looks into how marketers are using them to reach more people than ever. YouTube sensation Tyler Oakley takes Menounos through the genesis of his career and how surprised he is by his success and influence, even to the point where he helped an A-List star come out. Additionally, the series features: Hannah Hart, who explains how her first video blog was created just to make a friend laugh and how that led to her fame, a book deal and more; Lilly Singh as she shares how shocking it is for her to be called for panels by massive companies who want to reach people in the social space; Boyce Avenue, the third most viewed band on the internet with 1 billion subscribers (more than some of the biggest names in popular music today), as they reveal their journey from basement recordings to opening for One Direction; and Vine sensations Brittany Furlan and Simone Shepherd who talk about the pressure of staying on top when it takes only one "lame" post to send you off the grid.

Joan Rivers was one who knew how important social media was, featuring Tyler Oakley, Hannah Hart and Brittany Furlan as part of her "In Bed With Joan" series. In honor of all the laughter she brought to so many, Menounos and Furlan use social media to bring people together to create a Vine in honor of Joan (https://vine.co/v/Oziap3upzwQ).

Don't miss the revealing stories of "Hollywood & Heroin" and "Insta-fame" in the third installment of "Untold With Maria Menounos" premiering Thursday, September 18that 8:00pm ET/PT.
