(New York) - Just in time for Halloween, Animal Planet unleashes five days of cryptic creatures, near-death tales and never-before-seen footage for its first-ever BEASTLY NIGHTS. Beginning Sunday, October 26, at 8 PM (ET/PT), Animal Planet's BEASTLY NIGHTS brings terror to viewers' living rooms with a five-night block of programming, including all-new specials MONSTERS BEHIND THE IRON CURTAIN and THE HUNT FOR HOGZILLA.
For centuries the Soviet Union was a land of mystery and secrets. On Sunday, October 26, from 9-11 PM (ET/PT), Animal Planet's MONSTERS BEHIND THE IRON CURTAIN investigates mountain wild men, lake monsters and the elusive tales of the Mountain of the Dead. Animal Planet uncovers age-old mysteries with the help of new technology and harrowing first-hand accounts of wild attacks.
Premiering Monday, October 27, at 8 PM (ET/PT), THE HUNT FOR HOGZILLA follows a group of men from Eastern North Carolina whose life mission is to locate Hogzilla, the legendary part boar/part bear beast that's been terrorizing that area. Monday through Thursday, Animal Planet airs amped-up episodes of RIVER MONSTERS, featuring special 'behind-the-river' looks at some of Jeremy Wade's most haunting encounters to date. Then, the network premieres an all-new version of its b-film special when BLOOD LAKE: THE LOST FOOTAGE hits the air Thursday, October 30, from 11-1 PM. The number of victims is on the rise, and two girls relaxing by the pool are in for a surprise when a refreshing swim turns deathly. Blood-thirsty lampreys, terror-inducing hogs and skin-piercing piranhas are just a few of the devilish monsters that are sure to keep you haunted all BEASTLY NIGHTS long.
