(New York) - This October, Investigation Discovery (ID) celebrates the second year of its multi-platform public affairs campaign INSPIRE A DIFFERENCE to shed light on issues of crime and victim's rights. Now in its sophomore year, ID is bolstering its commitment to INSPIRE A DIFFERENCE by dedicating an entire day of ID's favorite series and specials that address social injustices such as domestic violence, social and civil rights, mental health, bullying and sexual assault. ID invites viewers to join our pledge and speak out in support of victims' rights at InspireADifference.com/Pledge. Throughout the marathon, some of ID's favorite hosts, including Charisma Carpenter (SURVIVING EVIL) and Dr. Michelle Ward (STALKED), will chat live with viewers on twitter about ways the online community can take action and "inspire a difference" @DiscoveryID (#InspireADifference). Kicking off on-air and online at 3PM on Sunday, October 19, the INSPIRE A DIFFERENCE marathon is an interactive programming event featuring incredible stories of survival to empower viewers to take action and make a difference in the lives of others.

With the support of leading national nonprofit organizations, including the National Center for Victims of Crime (NCVC) and the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV), INSPIRE A DIFFERENCE is designed to help empower viewers to make an impact in their own communities. The campaign employs all of ID's promotional assets, including on-air PSAs and social and digital resources. The complete programming and PSA line-up for ID's INSPIRE A DIFFERENCE marathon on October 19 from 3-10 PM ET includes:

3-5PM- SURVIVING EVIL

Inspire A Difference Call-to-Action: Charisma Carpenter provides resources to individuals, families, and communities harmed by crime through resources offered by NCVC.

SURVIVING EVIL features stories of extraordinary women who found their lives suddenly in the hands of a cold-blooded criminal, but fought back against their attackers and, against all odds, survived. Returning as host is actress Charisma Carpenter, best known for her role as Cordelia Chase on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off, Angel.

5PM- ON THE CASE WITH PAULA ZAHN

Inspire A Difference Call-to-Action: Paula Zahn encourages viewers to visit InspireADifference.com to learn more about all the campaigns' partners and organizations.

ON THE CASE WITH PAULA ZAHN takes viewers on an exciting journey inside the most fascinating crime and mystery investigations. First person accounts, along with insight from experts are featured as each case reaches its dramatic conclusion.

6PM- HOUSE OF HORRORS: KIDNAPPED

Inspire A Difference Call-to-Action: Alicia Kozakiewicz shares helpful cyber tips for parents from The Alicia Project.

· 6-6:30PM "Innocence Lost": Alicia Kozakiewicz was a typical 13-year-old who made friends in chat rooms. But when she agreed to meet Scott Tyree in person, she had no idea was a 38-year-old sadistic pedophile.

· 6:30-7PM "Field of Nightmares": Newly engaged Nikki Ansley starts work at a convenient store to purchase her fiancé's wedding ring. On her first day, two masked gunmen enter the store and kidnap her and two of her friends. After a night of terror, Nikki's life is changed forever.

7PM- DEADLINE: CRIME WITH TAMRON HALL

Inspire A Difference Call-to-Action: Tamron Hall joins the NNEDV to make domestic violence a national priority and provides resources for those seeking help.

Journalist Tamron Hall knows first-hand the effect of violent crime, as her older sister was a murder victim in a case that is still officially unsolved. In each one-hour episode, Hall is joined by a core team of correspondents with extensive knowledge of law enforcement, to go beyond the headlines and explore not only what happened, but why it happened.

8-10PM- STALKED: SOMEONE'S WATCHING

Inspire A Difference Call-to-Action: Dr. Michelle Ward offers tips and resources from NCVC taking steps against an invasion of privacy.

STALKED: SOMEONE'S WATCHING follows the dramatic, emotional stories of stalking victims and the twisted psychology of the people who relentlessly pursue them. In each episode, host Dr. Michelle Ward, a renowned criminal psychologist - with an expertise in neuroscience and personal experience as a stalking victim - explores the challenges in combating stalking and provides methods of protection against it.

In addition to the programming marathon, the network has also partnered with Glamour magazine for the second year in a row to co-host ID's second annual INSPIRE A DIFFERENCE honors event in New York City, recognizing the remarkable efforts of celebrities and their charity partners for their commitment to supporting victims and inspiring others: Rosario Dawson (Studio One Eighty Nine Foundation), Marcia Gay Harden (Help USA), Tamara Taylor (The Rape Foundation) and Stephanie March (Safe Horizon). On Tuesday, October 21 from 12-1p ET, Marcia Gay Harden (@Beloving2) and Stephanie March (@RealStephanieM) will join ID for an exclusive twitter chat @DiscoveryID (#IAD_Chat) to discuss their charity partnerships and how they help raise awareness for victims' rights.
