DAMN! (FOX, New!) - Glenn Gordon Caron ("Medium") has set up a new drama at the network about "a reprobate conman who meets his untimely death but gets another chance at life as an angel." The project, which has a penalty attached, is set up at 20th Century Fox Television. (Deadline.com)

LAST TYCOON, THE (Amazon, New!) - Billy Ray's adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's final unfinished novel has reportedly found a new home at Amazon. Originally set up at HBO, the project centers on Stahr, "Hollywood's first wunderkind studio executive in the 1930s as he climbs to the height of power pitting him against his mentor and current head of the studio Pat Brady." Sony Pictures Television is behind the hour with Chris Keyser, Perri Kipperman, Josh Maurer, David Stern and Alix Witlin also among the executive producers. (Deadline.com)

LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON (FOX, New!) - Paul Ruehl ("The Hard Times of RJ Berger") has sold a potential single-camera comedy to the network which "centers on a father and husband's epic quest to make sure his own son is less screwed up than he is - without anything guiding him but the crazy roadmap of his own childhood." 20th Century Fox Television is producing. (THR.com)

LUMEN (TNT; W: Chris Black; D: Joe Johnson) - Sam Jaeger ("Parenthood") has been tapped for the lead role on the drama pilot, about "a family of four who finds themselves transported to the mystical alternate world inspired by the work of a missing author's best-selling series of fantasy books." He will play Michael Hartman, "the stepfather of 16-year-old Charlie whose obsession with finding the author thrusts his family into the surreal world of Lumen. Michael, a widower now married to Charlie's mother and the father of a rebellious teenage daughter, is challenged with trying to keep his family together as they confront the amazing but dangerous reality of Lumen." (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Aaron Sorkin's 1989 hit Broadway play "A Few Good Men" is being eyed by NBC and producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron as the network's latest live stage production (Deadline.com); Ted Danson will visit "American Dad" as "a shrink that Stan visits in the wake of a near-death experience" (EW.com); Cyndi Lauper will return to "Bones" as resident psychic Avalon Harmonia, who "winds up being contacted by Sweets on his birthday" (TVLine.com); and Merle Dandridge will recur on at least six episodes of "The Night Shift" as "a lead paramedic working at San Antonio Memorial Hospital and the best friend of Jill Flint's Dr. Jordan Alexander" (TVLine.com).
