HOT FROM FOX...

MEET THE NEW CLASS OF STUDENTS ON "ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER?"

Series Returns Tuesday, May 26, on FOX

This summer, brush up on your grammar school knowledge with Angela, Dee, Lauren, Mason, Reagan and Tres, the new class of fifth graders who will assist the grown-up contestants on the popular quiz show ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5th GRADER?, when it returns Tuesday, May 26 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Following a nationwide search, these six kids were chosen to help the grown-ups graduate toward the top prize of $1 million.

Unlike the typical game show that measures intelligence, ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5th GRADER? tests adults' lack of knowledge - as revealed by how much they've forgotten since their grammar school days, proving that older doesn't always mean wiser.

Executive-produced by Mark Burnett and Barry Poznick, and hosted by Jeff Foxworthy, ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5th GRADER? includes new and fun elements for a new generation of viewers, including the "The Grade School Give Away," in which contestants reaching the $10,000 level, can play for a deserving school that also could win $10,000.

Whether they are doctors, lawyers, pilots or military personnel, the grown-ups will need the help of these real-life fifth graders, as they are asked 11 increasingly difficult grade-school questions, covering 10 subjects taken from first-through-fifth grade textbooks. If a player correctly answers the first 10 questions, he/she can answer a sixth grade question worth $1,000,000.

When it first premiered, ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5th GRADER? broke records as FOX's highest-rated series premiere.

Below are the fifth graders enrolled on this season of ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER?:

She has a little dog-named Bentley who helps her with her homework and is her "study buddy." One of her heroes is Betsy Ross, whom she dressed up as at school one day. She was "Darth Vader" for Halloween and can do a great impression. Her mom is a principal, which Angela loves because she can help with her homework.
