HALLMARK CHANNEL ANNOUNCES TIM ALLEN'S HILARIOUS FAMILY SITCOM "LAST MAN STANDING," COMING TO PROGRAMMING LINEUP STARTING JANUARY 2016

Network Acquires Series as Part of Top-Rated Comedy Programming Block

Hallmark Channel, the leading network for quality family entertainment, announces the acquisition of the off-network sitcom "Last Man Standing." The series will begin to air as part of the network's successful sitcom programming lineup beginning January 2016. "Last Man Standing," starring Tim Allen ("Home Improvement") as the manly patriarch of a family dominated by women, is the latest addition to Hallmark Channel's highly-rated hit sitcom offerings, which include viewer favorites "The Middle" and "Home Improvement," also starring Allen.

"As our classic sitcom schedule continues to grow and bring in a solid ratings performance, 'Last Man Standing' fits right into the model of family friendly entertainment that is at the core of our programming values," says Darren Melameth, Senior Vice President, Program Planning & Acquisitions, Crown Media Family Networks. "Among the cluttered landscape of more risqué television sitcoms, 'Last Man Standing,' approaches its portrayal of family life with a humor and attitude that is just right for the Hallmark Channel brand, creating the perfect comedy block starting next year."

In "Home Improvement" star Tim Allen's hilarious comeback to comedy television, "Last Man Standing," also starring Nancy Travis and Hector Elizondo, anchors the popular Friday night lineup on ABC. The series, entering its fifth season, revolves around Mike Baxter (Allen), an outdoor sporting goods exec whose conservative ideas are constantly challenged in a world ruled by women - his wife and three daughters. As Mike tries to maintain his macho manliness while surrounded by the strong-willed women he loves, he finds his traditional values and testosterone-fueled attitude will always single him out. With the perfect blend of wit, hilarious humor and warmhearted family moments, "Last Man Standing" gives a charmingly funny spin on the plight of an everyday American dad.

Nominated for a People's Choice Award as Favorite New TV Comedy, "Last Man Standing" has seen consistent ratings success in its four seasons on ABC. Recurring and guest stars have included Allen's "Home Improvement" co-stars Patricia Richardson and Jonathan Taylor Thomas, as well as a slew of other talented actors, including Robert Forster, Erika Alexander, Sarah Gilman, Christina Moore, Joely Fisher and Nick Jonas.
