TV ONE'S HIT SERIES "HOLLYWOOD DIVAS" RETURNS TO RECLAIM THE SPOTLIGHT ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 15 AT 9PM/ET

Golden Brooks, Paula Jai Parker, Countess Vaughn, Lisa Wu and Elise Neal Reunite For New Season Highlighting Films, Families and Fun

SILVER SPRING, MD - June 17, 2014 - This summer the careers and personal lives of TV One's Hollywood Divas cast are hotter than ever, as actresses Golden Brooks, Paula Jai Parker, Countess Vaughn, Lisa Wu and Elise Neal, return for season two on a new night, premiering Wednesday, July 15th at 9PM/ET. The one-hour docu-drama kicks off as the ladies experience major career resurgences, juggle work/life balance and make romance a greater priority.

"It's undeniable that Hollywood has experienced remarkable progress in recent years with more film opportunities carved out and created specifically with Black actresses in mind," said D'Angela Proctor, SVP Original Programming and Production. "This season viewers will get a chance to see major upward movement in the Hollywood Divas' careers as a result of Tinseltown's intensified interest in casting Black actresses, as well as the ladies' role behind the camera as content creators for the joint project - The White Sisters."

This season Golden Brooks has it all. However, despite her recurring role in a dramedy series, the launch of a line of luxurious pillows, and balancing the around-the-clock duties of motherhood, Golden finds herself struggling with being a single woman in Hollywood. Looking to shake things up, she begins dating someone who appears to match her drive, but as with many things in Tinseltown, this suitor may not be who he appears. Golden is left to figure out what's real in his seemingly sketchy past.

In one short year, Paula Jai Parker has gone from homeless to Hollywood. She has secured three new acting opportunities, however her personal life remains in turmoil. When husband Forrest struggles to hold down a job, Paula placed the fate of The White Sisters film in his hands, to the dismay of the ladies. The strain of their relationship brings their marital bond to an all-time low, frustrates her cast mates and continues to disappoint her mother.

After last season's full-body cosmetic surgery, Countess Vaughn has lost weight but gained newfound confidence. Now, brutally outspoken, Countess is set on building her empire including writing a cookbook, designing a line of t-shirts and is getting back to her first love of singing. Countess experiences a roadblock in her progress when the stress of her father's sudden stroke causes her to turn to food - putting her at risk of gaining back the weight.

Self-proclaimed workaholic Lisa Wu realizes she needs to prioritize her life when forced to cope with her mother's cancer diagnosis. Ultimately, she decides to put her career and dating life on hold in order to permanently relocate to Los Angeles and serve as caretaker for her mother.

Known for taking Hollywood power players to task and matters into her own hands if necessary, "triple threat" Elise Neal, continues to be a proud industry veteran. This season finds Elise starring in an Off-Broadway stage play; however, it's her alleged side deals with The White Sisters project which appears to have taken her ambition too far. Soon her friendship with the ladies become strained and distances her - for all the wrong reasons.

Hollywood Divas is produced by Kingdom Reign Entertainment and TTucker Productions for TV One with Carlos King and Todd Tucker serving as Executive Producers. Lamar Chase is Producer. Robyn Greene Arrington, Vice President or Original Programming for TV One, serves as Executive in Charge of Production. D'Angela Proctor is Head of Original Programming for the network.
