INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY PRESENTS POWERFUL OCTOBER PROGRAMMING SLATE

-- ID To Premiere Exclusive Domestic Violence Special BEHIND CLOSED DOORS: SHOCKING SECRETS, Reported by Emmy Award-Winning Anchor Tony Harris--

--Network Debuts Four New Series and Welcomes Returns of Three Hit Series--

(Silver Spring, Md.) -- This October, America's leading true-crime network, Investigation Discovery (ID) delivers a spine-tingling slate full of real-life drama. Featuring premieres of four new series and debuting new seasons of three fan-favorites, anchored by the world premiere of ID's exclusive new domestic violence special, BEHIND CLOSED DOORS: SHOCKING SECRETS, premiering Monday, October 26 at 10/9c.

Leading the line-up of new series is the premiere of HELL HOUSE (Saturday, October 10 at 9/8c), which focuses on homes that have witnessed some of history's most harrowing crimes. Next, come face-to-face with cold-blooded killers as they fess up to their crimes in KILLER CONFESSIONS ( Tuesday, October 13 at 10/9c). ID then welcomes performer Todd Robbins to the network with TRUE NIGHTMARES (Wednesday, October 14 at 10/9c), which brings to life the real stories that spawned urban legends, proving once again that truth will always be scarier than fiction. Rounding out the slate of new series is the premiere of DO NOT DISTURB: HOTEL HORRORS (Wednesday, October 21 at 9/8c), produced by award-winning director Joel Schumacher, which gives viewers a peek behind closed doors to shocking crimes that happened inside hotels.

ID also welcomes back several fan-favorite series in October, including: the season four debut of FATAL VOWS; the return of Charisma Carpenter as host of SURVIVING EVIL; and the season three premiere of ID franchise EVIL TWINS.

The full slate of new and returning series in October is listed below in order of premiere date:

HELL HOUSE
Series Premieres Saturday, October 10 at 9/8c
HELL HOUSE focuses on homes that have witnessed harrowing crimes. Bouts of unexplained insanity that ended in bloody rampages, mysterious disappearances, strange "accidents", and murder after horrific murder...all within one houses' four walls. There may be fifteen other houses on the block, but THIS is the house where horror keeps repeating itself.

FATAL VOWS
Season Four Premieres Saturday, October 10 at 10/9c
From blushing brides turned cold-blooded killers, to smitten grooms with shocking dark sides, FATAL VOWS returns to examine the criminal psychology behind these deadly divorces. Stacy Kaiser, a licensed psychotherapist and relationship expert, and Dr. Brian Russell, an attorney as well as a forensic and clinical psychologist, guide viewers through these crimes of passion, examining each couple to better understand how the marriage turned from flawed to fatal.

KILLER CONFESSIONS
Series Premieres Tuesday, October 13 at 10/9c
When detectives sit with killers inside the interrogation room, anything can happen. In KILLER CONFESSIONS, see how the most strong-willed detectives are able to get cold-blooded killers to make terribly shocking confessions. Using raw interrogation footage, the chilling true confessions come alive as the detectives pressure the suspect to come clean.

TRUE NIGHTMARES
Series Premieres Wednesday, October 14 at 10/9c
True stories of murder and mayhem morph into urban legends like the boogeyman or the monster under the bed - haunting our childhoods and scaring us throughout our lives. TRUE NIGHTMARES brings to life the true stories that spawned these hair-raising tales, proving once again that truth will always be scarier than fiction. Performer Todd Robbins, best known for his fascination with eccentric and arcane forms of entertainment, brings his shadowy and sardonic self to deliver spine-tingling episodes, revealing that sometimes, our fears aren't mere figments of our imagination after all.

SURVIVING EVIL
Season Three Premieres Thursday, October 15 at 9/8c
SURVIVING EVIL presents first-person accounts from extraordinary women who, in their darkest hours, fought back against their attackers and survived against all odds. Returning as host is actress Charisma Carpenter, best known for her role as Cordelia Chase on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, and currently appearing on FOX's Scream Queens. Carpenter brings unique perspective to the series as the survivor of a near-fatal incident endured when she was 22 years old.

EVIL TWINS
Season Three Premieres Thursday, October 15 at 10/9c
There's something oddly fascinating about twins. Maybe it's the secret languages they create, their identical facade, or the rumors about how one can feel when the other is hurt. But when a twin goes bad, they go really bad. They're the ones who sleep with their twin's husband, set them up for murder, steal their identities and come back from the dead.

DO NOT DISTURB: HOTEL HORRORS
Series Premieres Wednesday, October 21 at 9/8c
Even five-star hotels have dirty little secrets. Full of salacious acts, secret trysts and cold-blooded murder, DO NOT DISTURB: HOTEL HORRORS gives viewers a peek behind closed doors to shocking crimes that happened inside hotels. DO NOT DISTURB: HOTEL HORRORS pairs together ID's true-crime intrigue with the cinematic storytelling experience of award-winning director Joel Schumacher, who is the executive producer of the series.

BEHIND CLOSED DOORS: SHOCKING SECRETS
One-Hour Special Premieres Monday, October 26 at 10/9c
BEHIND CLOSED DOORS: SHOCKING SECRETS is a revealing exploration of domestic abuse through its most unexpected casualties; uncovering cases that will jolt even the most jaded viewers. Domestic violence claims its victims regardless of socio-economic background, age and even gender. In this new one-hour special, Harris delves into this little-known and terrifying world, where the decision to leave the abuser is often the ultimate gamble between life and death.
