FATED (NBC, New!) - Writer Jessica Mecklenburg and director Rod Lurie have sold a new drama to the Peacock about "two brothers at the top of their game - one the president of a Texas university and the other the revered football coach - and the sex scandal that threatens to unravel their family legacy." Universal Television is behind the hour with Tornante Television's Michael Eisner also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Jay Armstrong Johnson, Lenny Platt and Li Jun Li are among the new faces set to drop by "Quantico" later this season (Deadline.com); Kevin Bacon is attached to star in and executive produce a potential new TV series based on the 1990 cult classic film "Tremors" (Deadline.com); National Geographic Channel has greenlit "Killing Patton," its fifth adaptation of Bill O'Reilly's novels from Scott Free Productions (THR.com); Tom Amandes has been cast as Noah Kuttler, better known as DC Comics villain The Calculator, on "Arrow" (TVLine.com); Drake Bell will reunite with his "Drake & Josh" co-star Josh Peck on "Grandfathered" later this season (ETOnline.com); and Len Goodman will return to "Dancing with the Stars" for its 22nd edition after sitting out its 21st cycle (TVLine.com).
