STRATEGY IS ON THE MENU IN BRAVO MEDIA'S "RECIPE FOR DECEPTION" PREMIERING THURSDAY, JANUARY 21 AT 10PM ET/PT

Culinary Innovators Jonathan Waxman and Chris Oh to Judge Alongside Host Max Silvestri

NEW YORK, NY - December 8, 2015 - Bravo Media cooks up a battle of secrets and knives in its newest culinary competition series "Recipe for Deception" premiering Thursday, January 21 at 10pm ET/PT. Judges Chris Oh and Jonathan Waxman join host Max Silvestri in this fast-paced and innovative competition show where a chef's ability to lie is almost as important as their culinary skill. In each episode, Silvestri guides four new chefs through three head-to-head elimination rounds in which they are tasked with creating a stunning dish featuring a main ingredient. The twist is that they have no idea what that ingredient is while they are cooking. Based on the popular parlor game "Two Truths and a Lie," competing chefs ask each other three "yes or no" questions to determine what their mystery component is, and their opponent answers strategically with two truthful answers and one outright lie. Judges Oh and Waxman grade the chefs on their final dishes based on overall quality and how well they incorporate their secret ingredient. In the final round, eliminated chefs have a chance to scheme their way back into the competition by trading potentially valuable information about the undisclosed ingredient for a chance at the $10,000 prize.

The season will include a special Celebrity Chef episode (airing February 25) where Hollywood stars Coolio, Steve Howey of "Shameless," Lou Diamond Phillips and Alanna Ubach of Bravo's "Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce" show off their chops in the kitchen. Additionally, four Master Chefs play their hand at the competition (airing January 28) including Lorena Garcia, Rick Moonen, Art Smith and Bryan Voltaggio. Josh Altman, star of Bravo's "Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles" and Andy Buckley, star of Bravo's "Odd Mom Out," will appear as guest judges. Meet the Judges:

Jonathan Waxman is a native Californian whose family nurtured him in the food arts from an early age. He received the Grand Diplme from La Varenne School in Paris and mentored with Alice Waters at Berkeley's legendary Chez Panisse before graduating to Executive Chef of Michael's in Santa Monica. In 1984, Jonathan made his mark in New York with the iconic Jams, which he followed up with a string of successes in New York, London and Napa Valley. Today, Jonathan is chef and owner of Barbuto in Manhattan's West Village and Jams in 1 Hotels Central Park. In 2014, he opened Nashville restaurants, Adele's and Bajo Sexto, with partners Howard Greenstone and Ken Levitan. Brezza Cucina, Jonathan's most recent venture, opened in Atlanta's Ponce City Market in fall 2015. Jonathan currently lives in Manhattan with his wife and three children.

Chris Oh burst into public awareness when he won Season 3 of "The Great Food Truck Race." Shortly after winning, he opened the popular Seoul Sausage restaurant in Los Angeles where crowds clamor for his galbi poutine, Korean fried chicken, and fried balls stuffed with things like kimchi fried rice and ginger mayo. With two food trucks on the road and a new branch of Seoul Sausage in downtown LA, Chris also recently opened Hanjip, an upscale Korean BBQ spot in Culver City, to rave reviews, and has another branch set to open in downtown Los Angeles in early 2016. He continues to run Escala, where he developed a Columbian menu (that some Columbians say is as good as home), and will have a chefs' clothing line out in 2016. Chris has won Food Network's "Cutthroat Kitchen" and Esquire's "Knife Fight." He was also a regular chef on Food Network's "Kitchen Inferno," NBC's "Food Fighters" and a judge on FYI's "Late Night Chef Fight." Even with all of that, he's still not where he wants to be. The end goal is pretty simple: live on the beach and sell Coronas and spam musubis all day. Until then, he'll continue working on being the "Jay Z of the food world."

"Recipe for Deception" is produced by Embassy Row and Realizer Productions with Shauna Minoprio, Matt Berkowitz and Michael Davies serving as Executive Producers.
