Dern then is set as Renata Klein, "a powerful career woman and anti-bullying crusader who is at the center of schoolyard politics on and off the playground." (THR.com)

JOB SQUAD, THE (ABC, New!) - Stephnie Weir ("The Millers") is developing a new project at the Alphabet based on the U.K. comedy "The Job Lot," about "an unemployment office in Burlington, VT, with Weir starring as Trish, the office manager who heads up a staff of colorful characters doing their best to turn Un-Employment into Fun-Employment." CBS Television Studios-based Amigos de Garcia and Big Talk Productions are behind the half-hour, which has a penalty attached. Weir, Greg Garcia, Kenton Allen and Matthew Justice then are the executive producers. (Deadline.com)
