Skarsgard play Perry Wright, "a successful businessman, loving father and devoted husband" to Celeste while Tupper is set as Nathan Carlson, the ex-husband of Madeline, now "married to a beautiful and younger yoga instructor." Also signing on are Kathryn Newton (Abigail Mackenzie), Jeffrey Nordling (Gordon Klein), Santiago Cabrera (Joseph Bachman), P.J. Byrne (Warren Nippal), Darby Camp (Chloe Mackenzie), Cameron & Nicholas Crovetti (Max & Josh Wright), Ivy George (Amabella Klein), Chloe Coleman (Skye Carlson) and Virginia Kull (Emily Barnes) with Kelen Coleman, Sarah Burns, Sarah Baker, Kathreen Khavari, Larry Bates, Hong Chau and Gia Carides as fellow parents at their Monterey school.
