NEW YORK, June 1, 2016 - Deon Cole delivers totally unapologetic, razor-sharp humor and biting racial observations in his first one-hour stand-up special. Filmed at the Lincoln Theater in Washington, D.C., Cole educates white people about the art of managing blackness in certain situations, why women need to ask better questions on a date, his frustration with smartphones and texting, and much, much more. The world premiere of "Deon Cole: Cole-Blooded Seminar" airs uncensored with limited commercial interruption on Saturday, June 25 at midnight ET/PT on Comedy Central.
Leading up to the on-air premiere, Comedy Central Stand-Up and cc.com/Deon will feature preview clips from the special. Clips from "Cole-Blooded Seminar" will also be available in the CC app and the Comedy Central channel on Snapchat Discover. "Deon Cole: Cole-Blooded Seminar" will be available on Sunday, June 26 on cc.com and in the Comedy Central App. The extended and uncensored version will be available for digital download on Tuesday, June 28 with the album to also be released on that date by Comedy Central Records and pre-orders for both beginning on Tuesday, June 14.
Deon Cole plays the hilarious co-worker Charlie, on ABC's hit comedy "Black-ish" and as DJ Tanner in TBS's "Angie Tribeca" starring Rashida Jones, created by Nancy and Steve Carell, which returns for a second season on Tuesday, June 7. He was recently seen in the feature film "Barbershop: The Next Cut" starring Ice Cube, Cedric the Entertainer, Regina Hall, Common and Nicki Minaj. Cole also continues to be a featured guest correspondent on "Conan" where he was also a two-time Emmy-nominated writer.
As a comedian for over 20 years, Cole has performed stand-up on Showtime's "Shaq's All Star Comedy Jam" and has been featured on Kevin Hart's "Hart-Beat Tour," "John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show," Laffapalooza and Def Comedy Jam.
