CBS News will present "48 HOURS: Bringing A Nation Together," a one-hour special on the aftermath of the deadly police shootings in Dallas, Saturday, July 9 (10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Maurice DuBois will anchor the special from the CBS Broadcast Center in New York with extensive original reporting from CBS News correspondents on the ground in Dallas and around the country.
The special, produced by the team at the award-winning 48 HOURS, is part of CBS News ongoing coverage of the events in Dallas.
In addition to 48 HOURS, Scott Pelley will anchor an extended one-hour live edition of the CBS EVENING NEWS tonight, Friday, July 8 (6:30-7:30 PM, ET) from Dallas.
CBS News' coverage of the tragedy began Thursday night on CBSN, the 24/7 digital streaming news service, with Elaine Quijano reporting just after 10:01 PM that there was violence at a protest in Dallas. Those reports soon escalated with Manuel Bojorguez and Omar Villafranca reporting live from Dallas overnight. Today, CBSN's around-the-clock coverage continues with Anne Marie Green, Jeff Glor, Jamie Yuccas and Reena Ninan anchoring from New York with reports from CBS News correspondents around the country.
Pelley also led CBS THIS MORNING's expanded three-hours of coverage from Dallas this morning.
