PRESIDENT OBAMA TO APPEAR ON NEXT WEEK'S "REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER," DEBUTING NOV. 4, EXCLUSIVELY ON HBO

Just four days before the presidential election, President Barack Obama will be a guest on next week's REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER, debuting FRIDAY, NOV. 4 (10:00-11:00 p.m. live ET/tape-delayed PT), exclusively on HBO. Host Bill Maher is scheduled to tape his interview with President Obama - his first appearance on the show - this coming Tuesday, Nov. 1.

Noted Maher, "I'm thrilled that the president has finally accepted our invitation to come on the show - just like with the country, he always comes through in the end."

Allowing Maher to offer his unique perspective on contemporary issues, REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER includes an opening monologue, roundtable discussions with panelists and interviews with guests. The show was recently renewed through 2018.

Bill Maher has reaffirmed his status as one of the leading commentators on current events this election season. This season of REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER is averaging 4.4 million viewers (10% from HBO On Demand, HBO GO and HBO NOW), and is the most-watched season of the show since its 2003 debut. The premiere of the Oct. 14 show on the main HBO channel alone drew 1.7 million viewers, making it the most-watched telecast of REAL TIME in more than 13 years.

Politico has hailed Maher as "a pugnacious debater and a healthy corrective to the claptrap of cable news," while Variety noted, "There may not be a more eclectic guest list on all of television."

REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER is also available on HBO NOW, HBO GO, HBO On Demand and affiliate portals.
