CHICAGO FIRE (NBC) - America Olivo will return to the franchise as Laura, the ex-wife of Antonio (Jon Seda), in an upcoming episode. (THR.com)
COUNTERPART (Starz) - Mido Hamada and Kenneth Choi have both landed roles on the series. The former will play Cyrus, "an officer in Counterintelligence who serves as Aldrich's (Ulrich Thomsen) right hand man"; with the latter as Bob Dwyer, "a director in strategy within the OI, he serves as the checks and balances for the operatives that work under him." DTLA (ABC, New!) - Amy Talkington (Valley Girl) has set up a new drama at the Alphabet about "a celebrity choreographer who must fight to protect her status, family, business and secrets while she grooms a vulnerable young protege who will put her back on top." Richard Arlook (I Smile Back) will also serve as a co-executive producer with Andrew Stearn, Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Liza Chasin likewise executive producing for Working Title Television and ABC Studios. MAN FROM PRIMROSE LANE, THE (FOX, New!) - James Renner is developing his book - in which a bestselling true-crime author decides to investigate the murder of an elderly recluse only to discover the reality-altering power of his own obsessions - as a drama at the network. Director Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes) is already attached to the 20th Century Fox Television-based project, which has a penalty attached. Aja and Christine Conley will likewise executive produce alongside Andrew Stearn, Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Liza Chasin of Working Title Television. (Deadline.com)
