truTV announced today a series of premiere dates and new projects in development during its Television Critics Association Press Tour Panel. The news further bolsters the Turner-owned network's diverse slate of creator-driven programming that has evolved it into a premium comedic destination with significant ratings growth. Check out a little of what truTV has coming up in 2017 at:

truTV's all-new lifestyle series Upscale with Prentice Penny will premiere on Tuesday, March 21, at 10pm ET/PT. Helmed by the noted showrunner, writer and producer Prentice Penny (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Insecure) and infused with his comedic sensibility, the unscripted series will premiere 12 episodes in its first season. In each half-hour episode, creator and host Penny will embark on a journey to demystify what it takes to live an upscale life, exploring a variety of topics ranging from food and wine to travel and fashion. From buying a better bottle of wine to getting a custom-made suit for less than some off-the-rack options, Upscale with Prentice Penny is about offering viewers ways to live a more elevated lifestyle by unlocking a world that often feels unattainable. Penny will be joined on his journey by some famous friends including Adam Pally (The Mindy Project ) and Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and will "upscale" a range of topics including travel, the workday, date night, apologies, dressing up, cooking, your sex life, gift giving, summer, home entertainment, health and fitness, and taking a day off. The series is executive produced by Defy Media, with Penny, Chris Pollack and Jared Hoffman executive-producing alongside James Moore. Watch the trailer for the show at:

Comedian Guy Branum (The Mindy Project, Chelsea Lately) brings his distinct point of view to truTV with Talk Show the Game Show which premieres Wednesday, April 5, at 10pm ET/PT. Based on Branum's popular live comedy show, the 16-episode, half-hour series is a hilarious mashup of two beloved television formats that pits celebrities against each other for the title of "Best Guest of the Night." Each week, celebrity guests become contestants as they compete in various talk show-inspired challenges and are judged and awarded points for their performances. Those who will brave the scrutiny of the comedic panel of judges roasting them along the way - including Emmy(R)-winning writer Karen Kilgariff - are Chelsea Handler, Maria Bamford, John Sally and Wanda Sykes. The series begins production in Los Angeles in January and is produced by Push It Productions, with Wanda Sykes, Page Hurwitz and Branum serving as executive producers.

Created by and starring Andrea Savage (Veep, Episodes, Sleeping with Other People), truTV's scripted half-hour comedy series I'm Sorry premieres Wednesday, June 21, at 10pm ET/PT and follows seemingly confident, together comedy writer, wife and mom Andrea (played by Savage), who comically exposes her inner immaturity and neuroses through unexpected life situations. Joining Savage in this 10-episode first season are series regulars Tom Everett Scott (Southland) as Andrea's more straitlaced husband Mike and newcomer Olive Petrucci as Andrea and Mike's inquisitive daughter Amelia. The series will begin production in Los Angeles in February with several episodes directed by Amy York Rubin. I'm Sorry is produced by Kablamo! and Gloria Sanchez Productions, with Savage, Jessica Elbaum, Jason Zaro, Billy Rosenberg, Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer all serving as executive producers. Additionally, truTV has also ordered two new pilot presentations for concepts currently in development. First, from creator and host Amanda Seales (Insecure, truTV's Greatest Ever) comes the new comedic social commentary game show, Smart, Funny and Black. Based on her monthly live comedy show of the same name, Seales challenges professional funny folks (comics, writers, producers) to compete in various games that test their knowledge, taste, and understanding of current and historical black popular culture. Each episode, Amanda crowns one winner and their portrait is added to the wall of the "Illustrious League of Master Blacksperts." Smart, Funny and Black is produced by Main Event Media and All3Media America, with Seales, Jimmy Fox and Greg Lipstone executive-producing. Seales also currently brings her unique comedy voice t o truTV as the host of the pop-culture comedy countdown show Greatest Ever, airing Fridays on truTV.

truTV also ordered a pilot presentation of Apocalypse Video, a new series that delves into the fascinating world of found footage from different eras. Hosted by Judah Friedlander (star of the upcoming stand-up feature America is the Greatest Country in the United States) and produced by Abso Lutely Productions, the series is executive-produced by Friedlander and Dave Kneebone, as well as Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher from Found Footage Festival.

And, as previously announced, 2017 will also bring the premieres of additional new and returning series on truTV including the second season premiere of the fan-favorite investigative comedy series Adam Ruins Everything, the third season premiere of the network's first scripted comedy series Those Who Can't and the series premiere of the scripted comedic anthology series Bobcat Goldthwait's Messed Up Stories, among others.
