9J 9K 9L (CBS) - David Walton ("About a Boy") is set to star opposite Mark Feuerstein in the comedy pilot. He'll play Andrew, "the successful, narcissistic and very competitive brother of Josh (Feuerstein)." (Deadline.com)
BLACK LIGHTNING (The CW) - The DC Comics drama has officially found a home at the netlet where it has received a pilot order. Salim Akil penned the script to the project, about Jefferson Pierce, who hung up the suit and his secret identity years ago, but with a daughter hell-bent on justice and a star student being recruited by a local gang, he'll be pulled back into the fight as the wanted vigilante and DC legend Black Lightning. Mara Brock Akil, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter also serve as executive producers for Warner Bros. Television. (Deadline.com)
BROTHERED UP (CBS, New!) - Mark Gross ("Man with a Plan") has booked a pilot order from the Eye for a multi-camera comedy about "an emotionally guarded African-American cop who is partnered with an emotionally available Pakistani cop and they are forced to find a way to connect as they patrol a Detroit neighborhood." CBS Television Studios is producing. (Deadline.com)
CHARMED/THE LOST BOYS (The CW) - The netlet plans to redevelop both of the much-ballyhooed drama projects next season. (THR.com)
DR. KEN (ABC) - Jonathan Banks will reunite with his "Community" co-star Ken Jeong in the March 10 episode as Dr. Erwin, "Ken's toughest professor from his residency days who comes to the doc for medical treatment." (TVLine.com)
GOOD GIRLS (NBC) - Reno Wilson ("Mike & Molly") is the latest to board the drama pilot as Stan, "a mall security guard, Ruby's husband and father to Harry and Sara, who has kidney disease. Stan shares his wife's concerns for their daughter, and her frustration that the care she needs is unaffordable." (Deadline.com)
JALEN VS. EVERYBODY (ABC, New!) - The life of former NBA player and current ESPN personality Jalen Rose is set to be the focus of a single-camera comedy at the Alphabet. Nahnatchka Khan ("Fresh Off the Boat") penned the pilot, which "follows Rose as he juggles his career responsibilities with the challenges of being a single dad." 20th Century Fox Television-based Fierce Baby and ABC Studios are behind the half-hour with Jake Kasdan, Melvin Mar and Mandy Summers also serving as executive producers and Rose receiving a producing credit. L.A. LAW (New!) - 20th Century Fox Television's revival of the former NBC staple is being redeveloped after making the rounds at the broadcast networks. Said effort will be tweaked to also target cable and streaming networks. (Deadline.com)
LOSING IT (ABC) - D.J. Nash's single-camera comedy - about "three misfit adult siblings and their parents who - between divorce, new parenthood, early-onset dementia and let's just say life - are all losing it in different ways" - is heading to pilot at the network. Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor are also executive producing for ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)
MACGYVER (CBS) - Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park and Taylor Wily will all guest star as their "Hawaii Five-0" characters on the March 10 episode of the freshman drama. Said installment sees "the team travel to the big Island of Hawaii to aid in earthquake-relief efforts." (TVLine.com)
MACHINE, THE (Syfy) - Annet Mahendru ("The Americans") has booked a lead role on the drama pilot, about Yana, "a brilliant but troubled programmer who has created the world's first super intelligent Artificial Intelligence. With an IQ 500 times greater than Einstein, this S.A.I. is capable of conquering the world's most complex problems, such as disease, poverty, and environmental devastation. But Yana begins to suspect that instead of helping humanity, this new intelligence wants to destroy it. With her superiors under the S.A.I.'s thrall, Yana must overcome her personal demons and outwit the greatest intellect the world has ever known." (Deadline.com)
S.W.A.T. (CBS) - Writer Aaron Rahsaan Thomas and director Justin Lin's revival of the 1970s series - about "a locally born and bred S.W.A.T. lieutenant torn between loyalty to the streets and duty to his fellow officers when he's tasked to run a highly-trained unit that is the last stop for solving crimes in Los Angeles" - has received a pilot commitment from the Eye. Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty of Original Film; Danielle Woodrow of Perfect Storm Entertainment; and Shawn Ryan and Marney Hochman of MiddKid Productions will likewise executive produce for CBS Television Studios and Sony Pictures Television. SURVIVOR'S REMORSE (Starz) - Isaiah Washington, Vanessa Bell Calloway and Neal McDonough are all bound for the cable comedy as Rodney Barker, "the estranged and incarcerated father of Cam who is on a journey of forgiveness and redemption as it relates to the sins of his past"; Camille Jordan, "a business executive and DC civil rights activist who wants more for her daughter"; and Brian Powers, "a Bostonian business man from Cam's old neighborhood." UNTITLED SINGLE DAD PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Dannah Phirman and Danielle Schneider (Hulu's "The Hotwives") have scored a pilot order from the Alphabet for a new single-camera comedy about "an intellectual but emotionally challenged single dad who moves to Queens with his two young daughters and forms an unlikely family with the other residents in their apartment building." Sarah Haskins and Emily Halpern are also on board to executive produce for ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)
