BEAST, THE (FOX) - Neal Baer and Dawn DeNoon's drama pilot has been ordered to pilot by the network. Jessica Shulman also serves as an executive producer for 20th Century Fox Television and Baer Bones. Its logline is as follows: "Each week: three challenging medical cases. In the end, two will live, one will die. Their doctor - with a clinical fear of death - never stops fighting the odds."
DECEPTION (ABC) - Jack Cutmore-Scott ("Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life") has been tapped as the male lead on the drama pilot, about Cameron Black, a superstar magician who, when his career is ruined by scandal, goes to work as a consultant for the FBI. (Deadline.com)
DISJOINTED (Netflix) - Chris Redd (Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping) has joined the cast of the Kathy Bates-led comedy as Dank, "a stoner who is a regular customer at the dispensary." (Deadline.com)
DYNASTY (The CW) - Elizabeth Gillies ("Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll") is the latest to board the reboot as Fallon Carrington, daughter of billionaire Blake Carrington. Pamela Sue Martin and Emma Samms both played said role in the original series. (Variety.com)
LOSING IT (ABC) - Julie Anne Robinson has signed on to helm the single-camera comedy pilot, about three misfit adult siblings and their parents who - between divorce, new parenthood, early-onset dementia and let's just say life - are all losing it in different ways; and family is the only way they're going to find it. MACHINE, THE (Syfy) - Bridger Zadina, Olly Rix and Malachi Kirby are the latest to board the drama pilot. Zadina will play Santiago, "an agoraphobic young hacker who - after uncovering the dangerous truth behind those he believed to be his allies - is cast out into the world he desperately fears." Rix then is set as James, "the principal test subject of a secret Ministry of Defense Artificial Intelligence program"; with Kirby as Aaron, "a lonely and out of place young man who created an A.I. as his best friend - benevolent, brilliant, supportive, and in many ways, his equal." Andrew Miller has also been confirmed as an executive producer. (Deadline.com)
MISSION CONTROL (CBS) - Jeremy Podeswa has been tapped to helm Andy Weir's drama pilot, about the next generation of NASA astronauts and scientists who juggle their personal and professional lives during a critical mission with no margin for error. (Deadline.com)
REVERIE (NBC) - Sarah Shahi ("Person of Interest") has scored the lead role on the drama pilot, about Mara Kint, a former detective specializing in human behavior who is brought in when the launch of an advanced virtual reality program has dangerous and unintended consequences. (Deadline.com)
SCALPED (WGN America) - Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi are set to direct the long-in-the-works drama pilot, based on the Vertigo Comics title about the Oglala Lakota inhabitants in the fictional Prairie Rose Indian Reservation in South Dakota as they grapple with organized crime, poverty, drug and alcohol addiction and local politics while trying to preserve their cultural identity. SCROLL, THE (FOX, New!) - Michael Elliot (Brown Sugar) has sold a potential drama to the network which "will reimagine some of the Bible's most popular stories in present day through a group of friends and colleagues that are modern-day versions of some of the Bible's most notable characters." 20th Century Fox Television is behind the hour with Relevé Entertainment's Holly Carter and Flavor Unit Television's Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere likewise executive producing. SEARCHERS (The CW) - William Miller has scored a role on the drama pilot as Bosch, "the swashbuckling ship captain of the Prometheus, Bosch is a mysterious old soul who's still haunted by his experiences with the unknown." (Deadline.com)
THIN ICE (FOX) - Bridgit Mendler and Isiah Whitlock are the first to board the single-camera comedy pilot, which centers on a woman who reclaims her dreams when she finds herself at the end of the earth - in Antarctica - surrounded by a group of brilliant misfits. She'll play said woman, Lou, with Whitlock as Bill, "a geologist in the Antarctic research team in Antarctica who is a little intimidating, and has no patience for idiots." James Ponsoldt is also now slated to direct. (Deadline.com)
