From the football coaches and boosters who wield outsize influence, to a university administration under siege, the series explores the type of high-profile controversy all-too familiar on today's college campuses, as well as the corrosive, dangerous nature of institutional power. She'll play said co-ed, Cassie Sullivan. (Deadline.com)

INSATIABLE (The CW) - Dallas Roberts and Sarah Colonna have both been tapped for the drama pilot, about Bob (Dallas), a disgraced, dissatisfied civil lawyer-turned-beauty pageant coach who takes on Patty (Debby Ryan), a vengeful, bullied teenager as his client, and has no idea what he's about to unleash upon the world. Roberts' Bob is "handsome, immaculately dressed married father of two teenage kids who is bullied by his wife and his dad (his boss, the head of the law firm)." Colonna then will play Patty's mother Angie, "a sexy (almost Miss Georgia, back in the day), alcoholic single mom." (Deadline.com)

Warren then is set as Ingrid Poe, "Deck's deputy at the NSA, intelligent, resourceful, unflappable - and most importantly, unswervingly loyal"; with Szostak as Tess Adande, "one of the two female partners at the law firm. Tess is charismatic, glamorous, works off her instincts and knows how appealing she is to men and women." (Deadline.com)
POWERLESS (NBC) - Adam West will drop by the newcomer as Dean West, the chairman of Wayne Industries. RESIDENT, THE (FOX) - Shaunette Renée Wilson has been cast in the drama pilot as Mina Okafor, "a Nigerian rising surgical star recently trained on a new device that could redefine surgery." Matt Czuchry, Manish Dayal and Bruce Greenwood also star in the project.
SALAMANDER (ABC) - John Leguizamo has signed onto the drama pilot as David Vargas, "an ex-cop - now a bartender at a 10th Avenue dive bar - and one of Ethan's best friends." (Deadline.com)
SHARP OBJECTS (HBO) - Patricia Clarkson has joined Amy Adams in the long-in-the-works adaptation of Gillian Flynn's novel. She'll play Adora Crellin, "Camille's (Adams) mother, and queen of Wind Gap's highest society. Haunted by the untimely passing of Camille's sister decades earlier, her anxiety is manifested through an overbearing love and protection for her youngest, Amma. She'll play Amanda Jones, said trustee, in the project, which is in second position to the recent pulled CBS drama. (Deadline.com)

UNTITLED MARVEL ACTION-ADVENTURE SERIES (FOX) - Coby Bell has snagged a role on the Marvel drama pilot as Jace Turner, "a weathered man who quietly wrestles with the moral ambiguities of a job that regularly requires cold-blooded, calculating efficiency on a day-to-day basis." (Deadline.com)
WISDOM OF THE CROWD (CBS) - Richard T. Jones has signed onto the Jeremy Piven-led drama pilot as Tommy Cavanaugh, "a traditional crime solver who's recruited by Tanner (Piven) to join the CrowdSolver team, but he'll have to get used to the high-tech way of doing things." (Deadline.com)
