BLINDSPOT (NBC) - Paul Guilfoyle is bound for the new season as Rossi, "a fixer with a mysterious past." (Variety.com)
BRAVE, THE (NBC) - Bahram Khosraviani will drop by the newcomer as Qassem Javad, "a decorated veteran of the Iranian military who is now the head of Fahim Jarif's security team." (Deadline.com)
CHELSEA (Netflix) - Chelsea Handler took to social media to announce that her talk show on the streaming service will sign off at year's end. (@chelseahandler)
FIRST, THE (Hulu) - LisaGay Hamilton has been cast in the upcoming Sean Penn/Natascha McElhone-led drama as "an astronaut who is second in command and always puts the mission first." (Deadline.com)
GOOD DOCTOR, THE (ABC) - Marsha Thomason has been cast in the freshman drama as Isabel Barnes, "the wife of Marcus Barnes (Hill Harper), the head of surgery at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital." (Deadline.com)
I KNOW THIS MUCH IS TRUE (HBO, New!) - Wally Lamb's 1998 novel - "an epic family saga that explores the American identity following the parallel lives of twin brothers Dominick and Thomas Birdsey throughout the latter half of the 20th century" - is being developed as an eight-episode limited drama series at the pay channel. Mark Ruffalo is attached to star in the project, which is being spearheaded by writer/director Derek Cianfrance. Lamb, Ruffalo, Cianfrance, Ben Browning and Glen Basner are executive producing for FilmNation Entertainment. (Deadline.com)
SHAME (Facebook, New!) - XIX Entertainment has set up a domestic take on the Norwegian teen drama, which "uses narratives in real time with unknown actors and scripts that are geared to a 16 year-old audience with a focus on teen issues," at the new streaming service. Original creator Julie Andem is spearheading the project with XIX's Simon Fuller also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
TITANS (DC) - Ryan Potter is the latest to be cast in the DC Comics drama as Garfield "Gar" Logan, better known as Beast Boy. (Deadline.com)
TREMORS (Syfy) - John Ellison Conlee has joined the cast of the Kevin Bacon-led drama pilot as Harlan, "a scruffy mess and Valentine's closest pal. A genius who began his adult years working for a biotech company, Harlan now dedicates himself to yoga, meditation and self-exploration." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED LANG FISHER PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Lang Fisher ("The Mindy Project") has sold a potential comedy to the Peacock about "the dedicated diplomats of a small U.S. embassy in the Caribbean who are suddenly thrown into chaos when an unqualified, ignorant and hard-living oil man is appointed as their new ambassador." Universal Television is behind the half-hour with 3 Arts Entertainment's David Miner and Howard Klein as well as Kaling International's Mindy Kaling likewise executive producing. (Variety.com)
UNTITLED LIL REL HOWREY PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Lil Rel Howrey ("The Carmichael Show") is attached to star in a multi-camera comedy for the network about "a prideful, self-made success who lives by the code to always believe in yourself and great things will come, finds that attitude put to the test when he learns his wife is having an affair with his own barber. He tries to rebuild his life post-divorce as a long-distance single father on the West Side of Chicago on a quest for love, respect, and a new barber." Howrey is writing the half-hour, which has a put pilot commitment, alongside Josh Rabinowitz and Kevin Barnett with Jerrod Carmichael and Mike Scully likewise executive producing for 20th Century Fox Television. UNTITLED NATE BARGATZE PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Comedian Nate Bargatze is set to star in a multi-camera comedy at the network which "deals with Bargatze's struggle moving back home to Tennessee and being caught between his wife and opinionated parents." Bargatze is co-writing the project, which has a put pilot commitment, with Jerrod Carmichael. Alex Murray and Tim Sarkes of Brillstein Entertainment Partners will also executive produce for 20th Century Fox Television with Dan Shaki and Ari Katcher as co-executive producers. (Variety.com)
VENICE BEACH VENTURE (NBC, New!) - Matt Warburton ("The Mindy Project") has landed a new comedy at the Peacock "set amidst the booming Southern California tech scene, where a brilliant young female engineer faces an exasperating workplace and an arrogant billionaire boss at an elite venture capital firm." Kaling International's Mindy Kaling plus 3 Arts Entertainment's David Miner and Howard Klein are also on board to executive produce for Universal Television. (Variety.com)
WHITE DAVE (ABC, New!) - David E. Talbert has set up a single-camera comedy at the Alphabet about "a young African-American teenager, who has grown up in an all-white suburb, suddenly moves to an all-black neighborhood when his mom remarries." LeBron James and Maverick Carter of SpringHill Entertainment are also executive producing for Warner Bros. Television, as will actress Gabrielle Union. (Deadline.com)
