DAN THE WEATHERMAN (FOX, New!) - Steve Dildarian has scored a pilot order from the network and 20th Century Fox TV for a new single-camera comedy. Tomorrow Studios' Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements are also set to executive produce. The project's logline is as follows: "After getting fired from his cushy job as a weatherman at the local TV station, Dan finds it's not enough to be a charming white man in this world. He reluctantly ends up at the neighboring Spanish TV station."
FOUR, THE: BATTLE FOR STARDOM (FOX) - Charlie Walk has opted not to appear in the show's finale, airing February 8, due to allegations of sexual harassment. He'll still appear in tomorrow's episode, which was taped prior to said news. (Deadline.com)
GREY'S ANATOMY (ABC) - Candis Cayne will recur later this season on the veteran drama as "a transgender patient who comes to Grey Sloan for what is being described as a "groundbreaking" vaginoplasty surgery." (THR.com)
HERE AND NOW (HBO) - Stephanie Arcila and Erin Carufel will both recur on Alan Ball's upcoming drama as Mami and Wendy, two unspecificed characters. (Deadline.com)
LA TO VEGAS (FOX) - Danielle Sanchez-Witzel, a consulting producer on the series, has signed a new overall deal with 20th Century Fox TV. There she'll develop new series projects for the studio. (Deadline.com)
NCIS: NEW ORLEANS (CBS) - Shalita Grant's Sonja Percy will bow out of the drama following its April 3 episode. Said decision "is amicable and mutually agreed upon between the actress and the producers of the CBS procedural." (Variety.com)
SAFE HARBOR (ABC) - Michael Offer ("How to Get Away with Murder") has signed on to direct the Jason Richman-penned drama pilot, about the colorful, complicated lives of cops on and off the beat as we follow them into harrowing, emotional and often humorous situations. (Deadline.com)
STATIES (ABC) - Rob Bowman ("Castle") has been tapped to helm the drama pilot, about a hard-charging NYPD detective who's banished to the boonies after a high-profile mistake and is paired with a new partner, an Oregon State Trooper. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED BEN WINSTON PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Tim McAuliffe and Austen Earl are set to team for a multi-camera comedy pilot about "a young married couple whose evenings have become comfortable and routine. Their lives are completely upended when a young musician moves into their spare bedroom and brings with him the complications of being an up-and-coming mega pop star - sometimes even the paparazzi." Fulwell 73's Ben Winston and 3 Arts Entertainment's Michael Rotenberg and Jonathan Berry are also among the executive producers for CBS TV Studios. (Deadline.com)
