GOOD FIGHT, THE (CBSAA) - Mike Colter is set to reprise his "The Good Wife" role of Lemond Bishop in a multi-episode arc on the spin-off series later this season. (Deadline.com)
HOMECOMING (Amazon) - Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Brooke Bloom, Ayden Mayeri, Jacob Pitts and Fran Kranz are all bound for the upcoming Julia Roberts-led series, a psychological thriller that centers on a caseworker at a secret government facility (Roberts) and a soldier (Stephan James) eager to rejoin civilian life. Jean-Baptiste will play Gloria, "Walter Cruz's (James) mother, who is anti-military, anti-government, anti-everything and grows suspicious about what may be happening with Walter at the facility"; with Bloom as Pam, "Carrasco's (Shea Whigham) boss at the Department of Defense. She's ambitious but weary; mostly she just wants the minimum amount of trouble." Mayeri then will play Reina, "the receptionist at the Homecoming Facility"; with Pitts as A.J., "who is exploring several new business ventures"; and Kranz as Ron, Colin's (Bobby Cannavale) boss at Geist Emergent (Homecoming's parent company)." (Deadline.com)
MARVEL'S DEADPOOL (FXX) - The network has opted not to move forward with the animated series, originally announced in May last year. "Due to creative differences, FX, Donald Glover, Stephen Glover and Marvel Television have agreed to part ways on Marvel's Deadpool animated series," the network said in a statement Saturday. "FX will no longer be involved with the project. FX and Marvel have an ongoing relationship through our partnership on 'Legion,' which will continue." (Deadline.com)
PANDAS IN NEW YORK (CBS) - Dhruv Singh is set to star in the multi-camera comedy pilot, about a family of Indian doctors with a successful group practice in New York City who embark on a project to arrange their youngest son's life, unaware he's made plans of his own. He'll play the latter role, Rishi, "a physician who just spent a year in Cambodia as a member of Doctors Without Borders. Now, he's back home in New York and, unbeknownst to his family, has accepted a job with a free clinic. However, his family has other plans for his life. As their only son, he's supposed to join the Pandas' orthopedic practice, marry a nice Indian girl with a medical degree and have as many children as possible. And while his family is ecstatic to have him home, they will go to any lengths necessary to get him in line with all the other Pandas." (Deadline.com)
STEPS (ABC) - Ryan Michelle Bathe has scored a role on the single-camera comedy pilot, about four adults in three houses raising three kids after two divorces - together. She'll play Genevieve, "a newly single driven work-focused woman in control." (Deadline.com)
