INVINCIBLE (Amazon, New!) - The streaming service has commissioned an eight-episode hourlong animated series based on Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley's comic book series of the same name, about Mark Grayson, "a normal teenager except for the fact that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet. Shortly after his seventeenth birthday, Mark begins to develop powers of his own and enters into his father's tutelage." Amazon Studios-based Skybound Entertainment is behind the project with Kirkman, Simon Racioppa, David Alpert and Catherine Winder as executive producers and Justin and Chris Copeland as supervising directors. JETT (Cinemax) - Giancarlo Esposito, Elena Anaya, Michael Aronov, Gaite Jansen, Chris Backus, Gil Bellows and Violet McGraw are set to star opposite Carla Gugino in the upcoming drama, about the fresh out of prison, world-class thief Daisy "Jett" Kowalski (Gugino) who's forced back into doing what she does best by dangerous and eccentric criminals determined to exploit her skills for their own ends. Esposito will play Baudelaire, "a powerful crime lord"; with Anaya as Maria, "who served as a surrogate mother for Kowalski's daughter (McGraw) when she was in prison"; and Jansen as Phoenix, "an ex-junkie hooker." Backus, Bellows and Aronov's role were not specified. Additionally, Jodie Turner-Smith, Gentry White, Lucy Walters and Mustafa Shakir will recur, also in unspecified roles. (Deadline.com)
LITTLE AMERICA (Apple) - Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon's proposed half-hour anthology has been ordered to series by the company, billed as a look at the funny, romantic, heartfelt, inspiring and unexpected lives of immigrants in America, at a time when their stories are more relevant than ever. Lee Eisenberg, Alan Yang, Joshuah Bearman and Joshua Davis will also executive produce for Universal TV with Arthur Spector as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
LOVECRAFT COUNTRY (HBO) - Courtney B. Vance, Aunjanue Ellis and Elizabeth Debicki have all been cast in the upcoming drama. Vance will play George Black: "Warm, funny, and well read, he was the first to introduce Atticus to the wonderful and strange world of pulp novels. As the publisher of the "Safe Negro Travel Guide" he's been on enough adventures to understand there's no place like home." Ellis then is George's wife Hippolyta Black: "She's been a housewife most of her life with dreams of getting into some adventures of her own, despite her husband's misgivings. Her itch for adventure will eventually, literally and figuratively, take her to the stars and beyond." And Debicki portrays Christina Braithwhite, "the leader of a secret order calling themselves the "Sons of Adam." She's gone to great lengths to earn her father's respect, to no avail. She's going to pave her own path to power, and she's going to use Atticus and his family to do it." (Deadline.com)

(Variety.com)
YOU THINK IT, I'LL SAY IT (Apple) - Kristen Wiig has bowed out of the upcoming comedy series over scheduling conflicts on the upcoming "Wonder Woman" sequel.
