DANNY ISSUES (FOX, New!) - Michelle Nader and Morgan Murphy have landed a put pilot commitment from the network for a multi-camera comedy about "two flawed sisters who are reunited with their ne'er-do-well father after the loss of their mother, leading all three to realize that sometimes what they thought was the problem is actually the solution." Warner Bros. Television is behind the project, home to Nader's overall deal, with Danielle Stokdyk likewise executive producing. (Deadline.com)
DISENCHANTMENT (Netflix) - Staff writer Shion Takeuchi has signed a multi-year overall deal with the streaming platform, where she'll develop new series projects for the company. (Deadline.com)
HIGHER LOYALTY, A (New!) - CBS Television Studios has acquired the rights to former FBI director James Comey's memoir, subtitled "Truth, Lies, and Leadership," to adapt into a mini-series at CBS All Access, Showtime or CBS. Billy Ray of Home Run Productions will spearhead the script with Secret Hideout's Alex Kurtzman and Heather Kadin as well as The Story Factory's Shane Salerno likewise executive producing. LOKI/SCARLET WITCH PROJECTS (Disney OTT, New!) - Tom Hiddleston's Loki and Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch are reportedly set to be the focus of respective six to eight episode series for the upcoming streaming service. No specifics were given about the projects beyond "the budgets are expected to be hefty rivaling those of a major studio productions." Marvel Studios will produce with Kevin Feige "expected to take a hands-on role in their development." (Variety.com)
ONE DAY AT A TIME (Netflix) - Joe Manganiello will drop by the new season as the brother of Edward Quinn's character Max. (TVLine.com)
RICHARD LOVELY (FOX, New!) - Writer Billy Finnegan and director Kat Coiro have likewise scored a put pilot commitment from the network for a single-camera comedy about the titular character, "a best-selling children's book author... who hates children. After a series of unfortunate public events - and a little advice from his fictional alter ego - he's forced to foster a little boy named Georgie to save his career. But Georgie might end up saving his life." 20th Century Fox Television is behind the project with said duo executive producing. (Deadline.com)
WHAT/IF (Netflix) - Dave Annable and Louis Herthum have been cast in the Renée Zellweger-led drama, which explores the ripple effects of what happens when acceptable people start doing unacceptable things. Annable play Dr. Ian Harris while Herthum will play Foster, "Anne's (Zellweger) imposing driver and right hand man." Additionally, Phillip Noyce will helm the debut installment. (Deadline.com)
