CONNERS, THE (ABC) - Juliette Lewis will guest on the "Roseanne" spin-off as Blue, "David's (Johnny Galecki) girlfriend who was referenced last season." (Deadline.com)
DEMONS OF DORIAN GUNN, THE (Pop) - The cable channel has passed on the supernatural comedy pilot, which follows disgraced New York socialite Dorian Gunn (Jeffery Self), who discovers he's descended from a long line of demon hunters and is forced to abandon his life of leisure to protect humanity from monsters as they emerge from the gates of hell. HAPPY! (Syfy) - Paul Wight, a.k.a. WWE superstar Big Show, will recur on the upcoming season as Big Pink, "the cellmate of Ritchie Coster's gangster, Blue." (EW.com)
INBETWEEN, THE (NBC) - Justin Cornwell has been tapped to star opposite Harriet Dyer and Paul Blackthorne in the midseason drama. He'll play Damien Asante, replacing Yusuf Gatewood from the original pilot. (Deadline.com)
LA'S FINEST (Charter) - Sophie Reynolds has joined the cast of the upcoming original series as Isabel, "Patrick's (Ryan McPartlin) rebellious, angsty, and eager to grow up teenage daughter who has a complicated relationship with her step-mom Nancy (Jessica Alba). Defiant and sometimes snarky, Izzy is a bright, curious, caring young woman who bonds with Nancy's partner on the force, Syd." (Deadline.com)
RAQ RANTS (BET, New!) - The cable channel has ordered 12 half-hour episodes of "TMZ" staple Raquel Harper's web series. The project, in which "Harper takes her distinctive interviewing skills to the streets to talk to some of the biggest names in music, television, movies, and sports," will roll out Tuesdays at midnight beginning October 16. Telepictures and Harvey Levin Productions are co-producing with Harper, Harvey Levin, Ryan Regan and Patricia Childress serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
TERRORISM CLOSE CALLS (Netflix, New!) - The streaming service will roll out a new 10-part investigative series on October 26. The series, from Big Media, "probes the world's deadliest terror plots with exclusive access to the agents involved in disrupting them as well as leading national and international authorities on counter-terrorism, intelligence, and law enforcement, according to producers." No auspices were given. (Deadline.com)
THIS IS US (NBC) - Co-stars Milo Ventimiglia (Jack), Mandy Moore (Rebecca), Sterling K. Brown (Randall), Chrissy Metz (Kate) and Justin Hartley (Kevin) have renegotiated their contracts with producer 20th Century Fox Television, bumping their respective salaries to $250,000 per episode or about $4.5 million per 18-episode season. TOM CLANCY'S JACK RYAN (Amazon) - Tom Wlaschiha is the latest set to recur on the new season as Max Schenkel, "a mysterious foreign operative who crosses paths with Jack Ryan in South America." (Deadline.com)
TWENTIES (TBS) - Jonica T. Gibbs, Christina Elmore, Gabrielle Graham and Sophina Brown are set to star in the Lena Waithe-produced comedy pilot, which follows the adventures of a queer black girl, Hattie (Gibbs), and her two straight best friends, Marie (Elmore) and Nia (Graham), who spend most of their days talking shit and chasing their dreams. It's a show about friendship, finding love, and messing everything up along the way. Brown will play Ida B., "a successful African American television writer/producer who calls her out on some shady tweets she made some years prior. But when Ida B. offers Hattie a job as a writer's PA, Hattie may finally have her foot planted firmly on the ladder of Hollywood success." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED SILBERMAN BROTHERS PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Jon and Josh Silberman have sold a semi-autobiographical comedy to the Peacock about "a father and son who find themselves starting their midlife and quarter-life crises the same week and make the decision to move in together, so they can move on together." Chris Moynihan and Pacific Electric Picture Co.'s Ed Helms and Mike Falbo are also on board to executive produce for Universal Television. (Deadline.com)
