AWKWAFINA TO HOST "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE" ON OCT. 6; SETH MEYERS TO HOST OCT. 13 TELECAST
Travis Scott and Paul Simon to Join Respective Episodes as Musical Guests
NEW YORK - Sept. 27, 2018 - "Saturday Night Live" will welcome Awkwafina to host the second show of the season on Oct. 6, marking her Studio 8H debut. This summer's breakout star was in two of this summer's blockbuster films, "Ocean's 8" and "Crazy Rich Asians."
Joining Awkwafina will be Grammy Award-nominated artist Travis Scott, also marking his first "SNL" performance. Scott released his third studio album, "Astroworld," in August, which spent two weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's 200 Album chart. He officially kicks off his "Astroworld - Wish You Were Here" tour in November.
Seth Meyers returns to Studio 8H for his hosting debut on Oct. 13. He spent 13 seasons on "SNL" in many roles, including head writer and "Weekend Update" anchor. Meyers currently hosts the Emmy Award-nominated "Late Night with Seth Meyers," which airs weeknights on NBC.
Meyers will be joined by the legendary Paul Simon, and the appearance will mark his 15th time on "SNL." Simon recently released his 14th studio album, "In the Blue Light," which finds him revisiting and lending new perspective to 10 of his personal favorites from his body of work. Simon also just concluded his sold-out "Homeward Bound - The Farewell Tour." Coincidentally, Simon will be celebrating his 77th birthday on Oct. 13 on the stage at "SNL."
"SNL" returns live coast to coast this weekend with host Adam Driver and musical guest Kanye West.
"Saturday Night Live" is produced in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels.
