ALL FANCY (NBC, New!) - Comedian Anjelah Johnson is slated to star in a potential multi-camera comedy at the Peacock about Veronica Jimenez (Johnson), "a newly successful 30-something Mexican-American woman who often goes against cultural and social expectations, creating chaos and comedy within her marriage, business and extended family." Emilia Serrano is penning the project for Universal Television with Serrano; Hartbeat Productions' Kevin Hart, John Cheng and Carli Haney; Yellow Brick Road's Teri Wenberg; and Take Fountain Productions' America Ferrera serving as executive producers. Johnson will co-executive produce. (Deadline.com)

DOLLY PARTON'S HEARTSTRINGS (Netflix) - Julianne Hough, Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Dallas Roberts have been cast in the "Jolene" installment of the anthology series. Hough will play Jolene, "a flirtatious free-spirit with aspirations of escaping her small hometown of Coventry, GA to follow her dreams of becoming a successful singer-songwriter." Williams-Paisley then will portray Emily, "a devoted wife and mother who starts a new chapter of her life as the president of the Coventry's Women's League"; with Roberts as Aaron, "a loving husband and father wrestling with the marathon of marriage as well as the imminent threat of a mid-life crisis." Patrick Sean Smith serves as showrunner and executive produces alongside Dolly Parton (who plays Babe in the episode) and Sam Haskell for Magnolia Hill Productions, Sandollar Productions and Warner Bros. PROVEN INNOCENT (FOX) - Candice Coke is set to recur on the midseason drama as Wren, "a hardened female prisoner, but when around loved ones she lets her guard down. She's a good listener, but don't try and double-cross her." (Deadline.com)

TENDER IS THE NIGHT (Hulu, New!) - The streaming service is developing a new limited series adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel, which "tells the story of promising young psychiatrist Dick Diver. He meets 16-year old Nicole Warren, who suffers from schizophrenia, before marrying her and moving to the French Riviera, where they start a glamorous life of partying with friends." Playground's Colin Callender, Scott Huff and Sleeping Giant Films' David A. Stern are the executive producers. (Deadline.com)
