AWAY (Netflix) - Jason Katims has signed a multi-year overall deal with Apple, ending his True Jack Productions' run at Universal Television after seven years. His final projects for the studio are "Away," which has a 10-episode order from Netflix; and "Sisters," which has a put pilot commitment from FOX. (Deadline.com)
HOMECOMING (Amazon) - Julia Roberts reportedly will not return as a series regular for the show's second season. She'll remain as an executive producer on the project, which has a two-season commitment. (THR.com)
SPINNING OUT (Netflix) - January Jones has been cast in the figure skating drama as Carol Baker, "a former figure skater who was forced to give up her gold medal dreams when she became pregnant. Now she pushes both grown daughters (Kaya Scodelario, Willow Shields) to become Olympians in order to fulfill the dream she could never achieve." (@seewhatsnext)
US PROJECT, THE (A.K.A. THE STORY OF US) (CBS) - Mike Royce's hybrid comedy - billed as a story told through interviews and vignettes spanning 10 years, about how an unlikely couple becomes an unlikely family - has scored a pilot order from the Eye. Nick Stoller and Conor Welch's Sony Pictures Television-based Stoller Global Solutions is behind the project, which will be co-produced by CBS Television Studios. (Deadline.com)
TRIAL & ERROR (NBC) - Warner Bros. Television has confirmed options on the show's cast have expired, however they "are open to an opportunity to continue the series, should one arise in the future." The Peacock axed the series back in August after two seasons. (Deadline.com)
