"Since these shows are such enormous undertakings, we need titles that have a wide appeal and we're in the process of acquiring the rights to a couple of new shows that we're really excited about." KATY KEENE (The CW) - Ashleigh Murray's Josie McCoy has been tapped for the "Riverdale" spin-off, which will see her singer-songwriter character chase her twenty-something dreams in New York City. (Deadline.com)

Ted Melfi, Kimberly Quinn, Andrew Kosove, Broderick Johnson and Laura Lancaster also serve as executive producers with Sagal also receiving a co-executive producer credit. Its logline is as follows: "After the death of his wife, an obsessive, overprotective dad is forced to invite his brash and bawdy mother-in-law - Nana (Katey Sagal) - into his home to help raise the two granddaughters she barely knows."
OUR LADY, LTD (Epix) - Timothy Spall is the latest set to recur on the Ben Kingsley-led drama as Donny: "After being released from decades of incarceration, Donny chooses to spend his final years of freedom exacting revenge on the man who betrayed and imprisoned him - Pa (Kingsley)." (Deadline.com)

SHOGUN (FX) - Production on the cable channel's new small screen take on James Clavell's best-selling novel has been postponed in order to "work on scripts as well as figuring out logistics for filming the 10-episode series, which the network had billed as its largest international scale production, with filming in the U.K. and Japan." (Deadline.com)
STARGIRL (DC) - Jake Austin Walker and Meg DeLacy have both been cast in the upcoming series. DeLacy will play Cindy Burman, the daughter of Dragon King, while Walker's character has not yet been revealed. (@TheDCUniverse)
