By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from recent wire reports:

2 DOPE QUEENS (HBO) - Co-creator Phoebe Robinson has signed a multi-year overall deal with ABC Studios. The pact calls for the comedian to develop new series projects for the studio. (Deadline.com)
DUNCANVILLE (FOX) - Ty Burrell has joined the cast of the upcoming animated comedy as Jack, Duncan's father, and husband to Annie (Amy Poehler), a classic-rock-obsessed plumber who's determined to be a better dad than the one he had. He's constantly posting wonderful things about his family on Facebook and annoyed that his kids won't friend him. Annie is a parking enforcement officer who dreams of someday being a detective, lives in perpetual fear that her teenage son is one bad decision away from ruining his life and will do anything to stop him from doing so. Also cast are Rashida Jones as Duncan's on-again, off-again crush Mia, who never met a cause she wouldn't dedicate her life to and Wiz Khalifa as Mr. Mitch, the coolest guy in their school, the universally loved teacher/guidance counselor, and occasional gym coach and school nurse, due to budget cuts.
EXTRA (Syndication) - Much-ballyhooed "Access Hollywood" alum Billy Bush has reportedly joined the revamped incarnation of the newsmagazine, to be titled "Extra Extra" and launch this fall. (People.com)
INTERROGATION (CBSAA) - Vinessa Antoine is the latest bound for the true-crime drama as "a street-smart diner waitress who becomes crucial in a decades-old murder investigation after becoming involved with the private investigator." (Deadline.com)
LOOKING FOR ALASKA (Hulu) - Rachel Matthews and Henry Zaga will both recur on the John Green novel adaptation as Fiona, "a sophisticated and well-educated college student from a solid, healthy family"; and Jake, "Alaska's impossibly handsome, floppy-haired, college-aged boyfriend, Jake is funny and adorable and a really good boyfriend," respectively. (Deadline.com)
PREHISTORIC PLANET (Apple TV+, New!) - Jon Favreau is set to team with BBC Studios' Natural History Unit for a new documentary series that "will use CGI to tell the story of the last days of the dinosaurs 66M years ago." Favreau and Mike Gunton are the executive producers with Tim Walker and Andrew R. Jones producing. (Deadline.com)
SAINTS & SINNERS (Bounce TV) - Roger Guenveur Smith is set to recur on the new season as Senator Hayes, "a lifetime politician with a dark secret who locks horns in a power struggle with Lady Ella Johnson (Vanessa Bell Calloway)." (Deadline.com)
