ALTERED CARBON (Netflix) - Alison Schapker has been named sole showrunner of the series' second season as part of an overall deal with producer Skydance Television. She'll succeed shared duties with Laeta Kalogridis, who oversaw the show's freshman run and will continue as an executive producer. (Deadline.com)
BLOODLINE (Netflix) - Co-creator Glenn Kessler has signed an overall deal with Amazon Studios where he'll develop new series projects. (Deadline.com)
CHRISSY'S COURT (Quibi, New!) - Chrissy Teigen will star in a new offering from the short-form video platform in which she "reigns supreme as the "judge" over one small claims case. The plaintiffs, defendants, and disputes are real, as Chrissy's mom turned "bailiff", Pepper Thai, maintains order in the courtroom." Teigen's Suit & Thai Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment are behind the project with Teigen and Luke Dillon serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
GOOD PEOPLE (Amazon) - Ian Harding has been cast in the Whitney Cummings/Lee Daniels comedy pilot as Will, "the assistant college football coach who has a complicated past with Hazel (Cummings) but nevertheless will help her navigate school politics as she tries to dismantle offensive monuments and mascots on campus." LOVE LIFE (WarnerMedia OTT, New!) - Anna Kendrick is set to star in and executive produce a 10-episode half-hour romantic comedy anthology series for WarnerMedia's forthcoming streaming service, one of the first original series greenlighted to date. The project is billed as "the journey from first love to last love, and how the people we're with along the way make us into who we are when we finally end up with someone forever." Sam Boyd wrote and will direct the Lionsgate Television-based pilot with Feigco Entertainment's Paul Feig, Jessie Henderson and Bridget Bedard also executive producing and Dan Magnante as a co-executive producer. UTOPIA (Amazon) - Felisha Terrell and Dustin Ingram are the latest bound for Gillian Flynn's upcoming drama series. She's set as Hailey Alvez: "A sharp, rising star in journalism, Hailey has a friendly air and affable manner. She interviews pharmaceutical giant Kevin Christie about his groundbreaking new product and asks some serious, pointed questions." And he'll play Tallman: "Extremely wealthy and eerily eccentric, Tallman collects priceless comic books, and goes to great lengths to get his hands on the mysterious graphic novel, Utopia." WHISKEY CAVALIER (ABC) - The Alphabet is reportedly "taking another quick look at the feasibility of renewing the show, and conversations are ongoing." A decision is expected by week's end. (TVLine.com)
