BUNNY (AMC, New!) - Megan Mostyn-Brown has set up a small screen take on Mona Awad's forthcoming novel at the cable channel, billed as "a spellbinding, down-the-rabbit-hole tale that combines elements of fairy tale, horror, satire, and classic teen movies like Heathers and The Craft in a riveting exploration of women, relationships, desire, and the creative and destructive power of the imagination." She'll write and executive produce the project via her overall deal with AMC Studios. (Deadline.com)
CAROL'S SECOND ACT (CBS) - Ashley Tisdale has joined the cast of the Patricia Heaton-led comedy as Jenny, "Carol's (Heaton) big-hearted daughter. She is a pharmaceutical rep and covers Carol's hospital. Jenny loves and is supportive of her mom, and her bubbly and outgoing personality and carefree spirit is a buoyant counterpoint to Carol's neurotic medical colleagues." She replaces Bonnie Dennison from the original pilot. (Deadline.com)
GREY'S ANATOMY (ABC) - Co-star Jesse Williams has signed a new two-year contract to continue on the series as Dr. Jackson Avery. His involvement however may be limited by his duties on the upcoming Second Stage Theater revival of Richard Greenberg's "Take Me Out." (Deadline.com)
MACGYVER (CBS) - As expected, Levy Tran's Desiree "Desi" Nguyen has formally been promoted to series regular for the upcoming fourth season. (Deadline.com)
RED LINE, THE (CBS) - The Eye has confirmed the freshman drama, which was ultimately billed as a limited series, will not return for a second season. (Deadline.com)
TOMMY (CBS) - Producers of the midseason drama plan to recast the role of Buddy, "the brilliant, manipulative mayor of Los Angeles, who becomes a rival for power with the city's first female police chief." David Fierro, who played said character in the original pilot, has been released. (Deadline.com)
WYATT CENAC'S PROBLEM AREAS (HBO) - Wyatt Cenac revealed on social media the series will not return for a third season, making tonight's season ender its final episode. (@wyattcenac)
