TRUE LOVE OR TOTAL CON?

WE TV'S ADDICTING DOCUSERIES "LOVE AFTER LOCKUP" RETURNS FRIDAY, AUGUST 16 WITH ALL NEW EPISODES AND MORE NEW COUPLES

NEW YORK, NY - July 19, 2019 - WE tv's hit docuseries, "Love After Lockup" returns with all new, drama-filled episodes on Friday, August 16th at 9pm ET/8pm CT. This season we follow seven couples on their journeys from prison to (hopefully) the altar. Viewers will meet each couple just prior to the jailed partner's release and follow them down their unique path to love.

The new couples include:

Glorietta & Alex: Glorietta is a hopeless romantic who met Alex through her cousin who was serving time at the same prison. In their eight months together, Glorietta and Alex have never spent time together without a glass partition between them. Can Glorietta get playboy Alex to settle down and give her the wedding of her dreams or will he be tempted by his ex, to fall back into the lifestyle he once lived?

Lizzy & Daniel: Lizzy and Daniel met at the drive thru BBQ joint when Daniel took Lizzy's order. The two spent about a week together before Daniel was arrested. In the two and a half years Daniel spent behind bars, Lizzy never once visited. While Lizzy dreams about her wedding and having a baby with Daniel, she has some secrets of her own. How will Daniel feel when he finds out what happened when he was behind bars? Even worse, how will Daniel's overbearing mother deal with Lizzy?

Andrea & Lamondre: Daytona Beach is a small town, Andrea and Lamondre knew about one another but never met until Andrea received Lamondre's letter from prison. They went from pen pals to fiancees. Andrea's big family knows Lamondre because he is infamous in their hometown, but only one of her six outspoken sisters knows about her relationship with him. Can Lamondre win over and survive Andrea's tight-knight, all female family while staying out of trouble on the outside, or will the temptation of the past be too much for him to resist?

Lacey & John: Lacey and John were high school sweethearts that reconnected just before John went to prison and then got engaged while he was incarcerated. John's release is around the corner and he plans to spend parole at Lacey's home. But Lacey has a secret that could change everything.

Cheryl & Josh: Mother of three Cheryl has a secret obsession with serial killers, but she met Josh, the bank robber of her dreams, on Meet-an-Inmate. Cheryl immediately found him attractive and reached out, and they hit it off right away. Unsupportive family members, like Cheryl's correctional officer sister, are convinced the relationship will never work and believes Josh will be no different from the men she sees behind bars every day.

Vincent & Amber: Military man Vincent decided to write to 10 inmates from Write-A-Prisoner, and Amber stood out from the start, though they have never met in person. Amber was arrested and convicted alongside her mother who is still serving time, so she'll be forced to parole to her ex-cellmate's mother's house, as felons aren't allowed to stay on the base. Vincent is eager to introduce Amber to his mother, but will his strait-laced family clash with the mother-daughter crime duo?

And, returning:

Angela & Tony: Angela fell for Tony because he was "hot and young." In Season One, Angela was left waiting at the bus depot when Tony was not released as expected. Angela is ready to marry Tony and is moving forward with wedding plans. Will he be able to stay out of trouble long enough to see his bride walk down the aisle? Angela doesn't know that a secret admirer has his own plans for her future.

Relationships will be tested, boundaries will be pushed and secrets will explode. There will be more drama, love, doubt, mystery and firsts than ever before. See how these stories unfold Friday, August 16th at 9pm ET/8pm CT only on WE tv.
