FLEABAG (Amazon) - Emmy-winning star and creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge has signed a three-year, estimated mid-eight-figure overall deal with Amazon Studios. (Deadline.com)
KATY KEENE (The CW) - Daphne Rubin-Vega has been tapped to recur on the midseason drama as Luisa, "the mother of a central character, Katy's roomie Jorge/Ginger. She's described as a doting mother, a former Rockette and now owner, with her husband Luis, of a bodega in Washington Heights. She supports her son Jorge's ambitions to make it on Broadway, but doesn't know about his drag alter ego, Ginger." (Deadline.com)
LEGACIES (The CW) - Riley Voelkel will reprise her role "The Originals" of Freya Mikaelson in the sixth episode of the spin-off this season. No specifics about her return were given. In addition, Ebboney Wilson will recur as Kym, "a fearless, confident and sexy human girl whose meet-cute with MG leaves her curious to know more about his world." (Deadline.com, TVGuide.com)
MOTHERLAND: FORT SALEM (Freeform) - Kai Bradbury will recur on the upcoming drama as Gerit, "a male witch who comes to Fort Salem and strikes up a whirlwind relationship with Tally (Jessica Sutton)." (Deadline.com)
SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE (NBC) - Featured players Heidi Gardner and Chris Redd have both been upped to full-fledged cast members for the upcoming 45th season. (Deadline.com)
SAUCE, THE (Quibi, New!) - Viral dance sensations Ayleo and Mateo Bowles are set to host a traveling dance competition series for the short-form video service in which "they embark on an epic cross-country road trip in search of today's hottest dancers, spotlighting the diversity of dance culture in each new city." Thalia Mavros, Krista Manis and Kadine Anckle will executive produce for The Front. (Deadline.com)
SMALLVILLE (The CW) - Michael Rosenbaum has passed on a reprising his role of Lex Luthor for the upcoming "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover event. Tom Welling and Erica Durance, as previously announced, will return as Clark Kent and Lois Lane. (@michaelrosenbum)
SPOOK WHO SAT BY THE DOOR, THE (FX, New!) - Leigh Dana Jackson is spearheading a small screen take on Sam Greenlee's spy novel, about "the first African-American brought on board by the Agency and the tokenism and discrimination at the heart of that hire." The project is set up at Fox 21 Television Studios and Lee Daniels's Lee Daniels Entertainment with Gerard McMurry slated to direct the pilot. (Deadline.com)
TERMINAL, THE (CBS, New!) - Barbie Kligman and Judith McCreary have set up a potential drama at the Eye about "an unflappable ex-Marine, the first female to earn the Medal of Honor. When she lands the job of head of security for JFK International Airport, she discovers that protecting what is widely considered the biggest soft target in the world will be the most challenging mission of her life." The project is based on a short story by bestselling author Lee Child, who will also executive produce alongside the duo, Tom Sullivan, 101 St. Entertainment's Peter M. Lenkov and Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor for CBS Television Studios. (Deadline.com)
THIS IS US (NBC) - Griffin Dunne, who plays an older version of Jack's once-presumed-dead younger brother Nicky, has been promoted to regular on the current fourth season of the series. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED ARROW SPIN-OFF PROJECT (The CW) - The netlet has locked in its latest proposed spin-off of the franchise, billed as "a next-generation version of Team Arrow with the costumed offspring of the original membership. At the center of the next-gen collective is Smoak, the fierce daughter of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) aka Green Arrow, the central character of Arrow and the former mayor of Star City." Katherine McNamara, Katie Cassidy and Juliana Harkavy will reprise their roles of Mia Smoak, Laurel Lance and Dinah Drake, respectively, in the Warner Bros. Television-based project, which will be set up via backdoor pilot on "Arrow's" eighth episode this season. Beth Schwartz, Marc Guggenheim, Jill Blankenship and Oscar Balderrama are co-writing the script and executive producing alongside Berlanti Productions' Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter. WET HOUSE (CBS, New!) - Barbie Kligman and Russell Grant are also set to team for a new drama at the Eye about "a female detective. After an altercation with a fellow officer lands her at a station for castoff cops with personal demons, she discovers her new colleagues are not only exceptional police officers who serve and protect their community but also a family of flawed human beings who nevertheless take care of their own." Kligman, actress Sasha Alexander and Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor will executive produce with Grant serving as a co-executive producer for CBS Television Studios.
