NCIS (CBS) - Co-star Wilmer Valderrama has renewed his first-look deal with CBS Television Studios. The pact will continue to give the studio first crack at his WV Entertainment banner's output. (Deadline.com)
PIVOTING (FOX) - Ginnifer Goodwin is set to star opposite Eliza Coupe in the single-camera comedy pilot, which follows three women after the death of their childhood best friend. Faced with the reality that life is short, in desperate attempts to find happiness, they make a series of impulsive, ill-advised and self-indulgent decisions, strengthening their bond proving it's never too late to screw up your life. She'll play Jodie, "Amy's (Coupe) close friend, who is also coping with the loss of Coleen. Raised by an overprotective mother, Jodie is herself a parent of three, married to a suffocating husband who gives her no room to breathe and be herself. She finds the excitement, attention, and affection she craves in the form of an affair with her gym trainer." (Deadline.com)
QUEENS (HBO, New!) - Pulitzer Prize winner Martyna Majok has sold a TV series take on her play of the same name to the pay channel, which "revolves around the lives of two generations of immigrant women that collide in a basement apartment in Queens, as the choices they've made about their security, dignity, and desires come back to confront them." The drama is set up at A Penny For Your Thoughts Entertainment with Prentice Penny also executive producing and Alex Soler as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
