BLOOD RELATIVE (FOX) - Dascha Polanco, Tracie Thoms and Sarah Catherine Hook are the latest to be cast in the drama pilot, which "centers on genetic genealogy, the best new tool in crime scene forensics, and nobody knows it like Louise Kelly (Melissa Leo)." Polanco will play Maria Alvarez, who goes "to work at the same Parish Precinct as John (Tate Donovan) and Brick (Tyrone Marshall Brown)"; with Thoms as Hannah Dixon, "John and Brick's boss"; and Hook as Ashley Kelly, "16 years old (going on 35), Ashley is the daughter of John and Rebecca Kelly." (Deadline.com)
EMILY IN PARIS/YOUNGER (Paramount Network/TV Land) - Darren Star has signed a new overall deal with the series' producer, ViacomCBS's Entertainment & Youth Group, where he'll develop new projects. (Deadline.com)
MOST DANGEROUS GAME (Quibi) - The short-form service has commissioned a second season of the series, with Christoph Waltz's Miles Seller returning alongside a new "runner." In addition, creator Nick Santora is "in the process of turning the show into a standalone feature thanks to Quibi's rights position, which hands the rights back to the creators after a period of time." (Deadline.com)
TETHER (Amazon, New!) - Kevin Hamedani and Travis Betz have set up a potential drama at the company about "the terrifying journey of Madelyn Woods, a woman driven to find her kidnapped husband and son and extract revenge on those who hurt them... and murdered her. Now a ghost, and tethered to the house she died in, Madelyn must find a way to escape her supernatural prison and save the ones she loves." 3AD's Daniel Dae Kim, John Cheng and Tara Bohn will also executive produce for Amazon Studios. (Deadline.com)
WONDER YEARS, THE (ABC, New!) - Saladin K. Patterson, Lee Daniels and Fred Savage are set to team for a reboot of the 1980s series, which "chronicles how a middle-class Black family in Montgomery in the turbulent late-1960s - the same era as the original series - made sure it was the Wonder Years for them too." The project, which has a pilot production commitment, will be directed by Savage and written by Patterson, inspired by his experiences growing up in Montgomery, Alabama. Lee Daniels Entertainment's Marc Velez will also executive produce for 20th Century Fox Television with original co-creator Neal Marlens serving as a consultant. (Deadline.com)
