BLESS THE HARTS (FOX) - Ken Jeong, Kristen Schaal and Natasha Lyonne are bound for the upcoming season in yet-to-be-revealed roles. (Deadline.com, 7/25)
COMMON KNOWLEDGE (GSN) - Fox Television Stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Phoenix, Tampa, Minneapolis, Orlando and Austin are set to carry a four-week test run of the game show beginning August 3. Sony Pictures Television is distributing the series. (Deadline.com)
ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW, THE (Syndication) - WarnerMedia has launched an internal investigation into the series "following numerous accounts of workplace problems." The company's employee relations group and a third party firm "will interview current and former staffers about their experiences on set." The news follows a BuzzFeed report alleging "a spectrum of accused racist behavior" on the series. (Variety.com)
FIRST SHOT, THE (HBO, New!) - Adam McKay's Hyperobject Industries is developing a limited series which "tells the story of the global coronavirus vaccine race. It will explore the companies and individuals putting everything on the line to save lives, the science that it is based on, and the challenges playing out around politics, access, and safety." The project is based on Brendan Borrell's non-fiction narrative book. Todd Schulman and Borrell will also executive produce. No writer was indicated. (Deadline.com)
GENIUS: ARETHA (NGC) - Director Anthony Hemingway has inked a two-year overall deal with producer 20th Century Fox Television. There he'll develop new series projects via his Anthony Hemingway Productions banner. (Deadline.com)
SHARK TANK (ABC) - Filming on the series will relocate from Culver City to Las Vegas for the upcoming 12th season. Pre-production is already underway at an undisclosed location with a quarantine bubble employed for the cast and crew. Traditionally its 22 episodes are filmed in a pair of two-week "pods," one in June and one in September. (Deadline.com)
SIMPSONS, THE (FOX) - Ben Platt, Hannibal Buress and Michael Palin will join the previously announced David Harbour and Olivia Colman as guest voices on the upcoming season. No details on the latest additions were given. (Deadline.com, 7/25)
STUMPTOWN (ABC) - Monica Owusu-Breen has signed onto the show's second season as an executive producer. (Deadline.com, 7/25)
UNTITLED NICHOLAS PILEGGI PROJECT (Showtime, New!) - Terence Winter is spearheading a drama series inspired by author Nicholas Pileggi's "in-depth chronology of organized crime in America - which is also the history of corruption in America - as seen through the eyes of the mafia's First Family." Imagine Television's Brian Grazer and Samie Kim Falvey will also executive produce alongside Winter and Pileggi. (Deadline.com)
