By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from recent wire reports:

Looking to keep track of all the various projects in development? Click here to visit our signature "Devwatch" section. There visitors can view our listings by network, genre, studio and even development stage (ordered to pilot, cast-contingent, script, etc.). It's updated every day!

GENERATION (HBO Max) - Nathan Stewart-Jarrett has been cast in the upcoming drama as Sam: "Not your typical guidance counselor, Sam's strength lies in his realness. While Sam leads with an "actually I invented the game" attitude, a part of him will always wish he was as bold and fearless as his students." (Deadline.com)
HEELS (Starz) - Mary McCormack has signed onto the wrestling drama as Willie, "the business partner of Jack Spade and logistical brains behind the local wrestling organization who came up in the glory days as Wild Bill's (Chris Bauer) valet but grew tired of babysitting and left him just as his career took off. His return to the local circuit complicates her life, as does the reflection of her younger self that she sees in Crystal (Kelli Berglund)." (Deadline.com)
ICON (FOX, New!) - Grammy-winning mother-daughter country music duo Naomi and Wynonna Judd are set to be the focus of "an anthology drama series profiling some of the world's biggest music legends." The inaugural season "will spotlight the drama behind the glamour and the dynamic relationship between the loving, yet often challenging, Naomi and Wynonna. It will tell their fascinating story through the music and songs that shaped their career and the country music genre. With a long line of personal tragedies, they are a true testament to a family bond like no other, with roots that go deeper than fame." The Jackal Group's Gail Berman and Hend Baghdady as well as Sandbox Entertainment's Jason Owen are executive producing the FOX Entertainment-based project, not to be confused with Melissa London Hilfers's drama from the same auspices. The search is underway for a writer. The Judds will also executive produce with their managers - Les Borsai, Greg Hill, Cactus Moser and Larry Strickland - receiving producing credits. (Deadline.com)
I'M SORRY (truTV) - Andrea Savage took to social media with the news truTV will not complete production on the show's third season due to coronavirus concerns. (@andreasavage)
TMZ (Syndication) - Bernadette Zilio, a former production assistant and on-air contributor, has filed "a federal discrimination and retaliation complaint" against Harvey Levin and Warner Bros. Entertainment which alleges she along with her female colleagues, "was belittled and abused, held to different and more stringent standards, excluded from business and social interactions in which only male employees participated, denied advancement opportunities, and retaliated against when she resisted the sexist and misogynistic ways."
