MTV FLORIBAMA SHORE (MTV) - Filming on the show's proposed fourth season was "shut down on Wednesday for two weeks after a production team member tested positive for COVID-19." The cable channel has yet to formally announce said pickup. (Deadline.com)
TRIAL OF CHRISTINE KEELER, THE (HBO Max, New!) - The streamer has landed the U.S. rights to BBC One's six-part drama, which takes a fresh look at one of the most infamous British stories: the chain of events in the 1960s that came to be known as the Profumo Affair. Sophie Cookson stars in the title role of Christine Keeler; with James Norton as Stephen Ward; Ellie Bamber as Mandy Rice-Davies; Ben Miles as John Profumo; Emilia Fox as Valerie Profumo; Nathan Stewart-Jarrett as Johnny Edgecombe; and Anthony Welsh as Aloysius "Lucky" Gordon. Writer Amanda Coe and director Andrea Harkin are behind the project, due on December 9, from Ecosse Films and Great Meadow. Coe, Kate Triggs, Douglas Rae and Lucy Richer are the executive producers with Rebecca Ferguson producing. (Variety.com, 11/26)
