DES & LOU (NBC, New!) - David Slack has sold a new drama to the network in which "a charming Spanish spy working for Interpol and a cynical American agent from the CIA form a joint task force to stop the plans of a dangerous organization. This could be the start of a beautiful friendship." Universal Television is behind the hour with Hazy Mills Productions' Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner as well as Tiny Riot Entertainment's Jason Egenberg also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
DEXTER LIMITED SERIES (Showtime) - Julia Jones, Alano Miller, Johnny Sequoyah and Jack Alcott have all booked roles in the revival season. Jones will play Angela Bishop, "the first Native American Chief of Police in her town in upstate New York"; with Miller as Logan, "a sergeant for the Iron Lake Police Department and the assistant wrestling coach for the local high school"; Sequoyah as Audrey, "Bishop's brash and opinionated teenage daughter"; and Alcott as Randall, "with whom Dexter (Hall) has a meaningful encounter." GOSSIP GIRL (HBO Max) - Donna Murphy has been tapped to play a high-school headmistress on the upcoming reboot series. (Vulture.com)
I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER (Amazon) - The streamer's TV take on the film franchise has cast Madison Iseman, Brianne Tju, Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore, Sebastian Amoruso, Fiona Rene, Cassie Beck, Brooke Bloom and Bill Heck in yet-to-be-revealed roles. Production on the project will begin this month in Hawaii. (Deadline.com)
PHYSICAL (Apple TV+) - Geoffrey Arend has joined the cast of the Rose Byrne/Rory Scovel-led series as Jerry, "a longtime friend of Danny (Scovel) and Sheila (Byrne) from their activist days at Berkeley. He's come to stir up some good, and possibly bad, trouble." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED THE BATMAN PROJECT (HBO Max) - Joe Barton has been tapped as the new showrunner of upcoming "The Batman" companion series. He'll take over from Terence Winter, who exited in November over creative differences. (Deadline.com)
WILLOW (Disney+) - Jon M. Chu has bowed out of directing the TV series' debut installment due to scheduling issues. (@jonmchu)
WOMEN OF THE MOVEMENT (ABC) - Julia McDermott, Carter Jenkins and Chris Coy are the latest additions to the limited series. They'll play the Mississippi trio at the center of Emmett Till's murder: Carolyn Bryant, her husband Roy Bryant, and his half-brother J.W. Milam, respectively. (Deadline.com)
