ACTS OF CRIME (ABC) - Sam Esmail's proposed drama is officially heading to pilot at the network. No specifics have been given about the project other than it is "a unique spin on the crime procedural." Production is being targeted for a spring start. (Deadline.com)
GOOD GIRLS/NEVER HAVE I EVER (NBC/Netflix) - Universal Television has pushed both series' production hiatus once again due to a COVID-19 surge in Los Angeles, this time to January 18. (Variety.com)
INTO THE DARK (Hulu) - Blumhouse Television has booked its franchise's latest installment "Tentacles" for February 12, its first since July 17. Dana Drori, Casey Deidrick, Evan Williams and Kasey Elise star in said film, in which "couple Tara (Drori) and Sam (Deidrick) fall head over heels into a new romance and entwine their lives - until their intimacy transforms into something terrifying." Clara Aranovich directed from a story by Alexandra Pechman and Nick Antosca and a teleplay by Pechman. (Variety.com)
REDEEMER (FX) - The proposed Patrick Coleman adaptation is not moving forward as star Matthew McConaughey has dropped out of the project while writer Nic Pizzolatto is exiting his first-look deal with Fox 21/Touchstone Television. Said effort was originally set up in January of last year. (THR.com)
SMOAKLAND (Freeform, New!) - Jewel Coronel has sold a single-camera comedy to the cable channel which "centers around Oakland native Solo, the visionary of a budding cannabis company, who navigates family expectations, changing friendships, love, and her drive to break through the "grass" ceiling of the oft-closed terrain of the cannabis industry for herself and her community." 7th Sun Productions' Yara Shahidi and Keri Shahidi as well as Zahir McGhee will also executive produce for ABC Signature.
