AHSOKA (Disney+) - Natasha Liu Bordizzo has been cast as Sabine Wren on the live-action "Star Wars" series. Wren originated on the "Star Wars Rebels" animated series, voiced by Tiya Sircar. (Deadline.com)
BELATED (FX) - Kal Penn has scored the male lead on the comedy pilot, which "follows Owen (Penn), a recently out man in his 40s, and his ex-wife Diana as they attempt to find their new normal and take on new relationships while continuing to co-parent together. The project also follows an unexpected intergenerational friendship between Owen and Clay, a 17-year-old trans teen." (Deadline.com)
FULFILLED (CBS, New!) - Morgan Lehmann has sold a multi-camera comedy to the Eye billed as "an honest exploration of the underpaid workers at the Rockford, IL fulfillment center and the absurd micromanagement they face to pack and ship the salad tongs you ordered drunk at 2 AM." Lionsgate Television-based The Tannenbaum Company is behind the project with Rob Rosell, Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, and Jason Wang also among the executive producers. (Deadline.com)
LINE, THE (BET+, New!) - Jinho "Piper" Ferreira has sold a potential drama to the streamer, inspired by true events, which "focuses on Oakland activists Ricky and Angela Roberts, who have been local figures in the anti-police movement for years. But when a close friend is murdered by police, Ricky embarks on a life-changing journey. Placing his family, his reputation, and his life on the line, Ricky decides to become a cop and either transform the system from the inside out or die trying." When Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco meet at college, they are at that formative age when seemingly mundane choices lead the way to irrevocable consequences. Although their relationship begins like any typical campus romance, they quickly fall into an addictive entanglement that will permanently alter not only their lives, but the lives of everyone around them.
